Cycle of Cliches
I think everyone in the class hoped that Deuta’s question would meet its unfortunate, mistimed death in the trail of our murmurs.
“So where were we?” Deuta would return in a jiffy after a couple of minutes and ask. Most often, after such interruptions he would also forget where exactly he had left the discussion. And so, we would rather, remind him where in the story he had stopped, or sometimes one of us would read out the lines he was last explaining.
Surprisingly, while explaining The Patriot, he remembered the question he had left us back with:
