~WRITER'S POV: Camilla ran to her sister and placed both trembling hands on Pamela's shoulders. “Pamela!” Her voice was breathless as if she was at the brink of passing out. “I…I've been—” But Pamela shoved her away, cutting off the sentence like a knife. Camilla stumbled back, nearly twisting an ankle in her heels, and murmurs rippled through the crowd again. Pamela's face was warped with hatred, her eyes hard as a rock as she glared at her sister. “You stole my life! My marriage! Everything!”

He sat down in front of his simple meal of macaroni. “Well, the diner was crazy today,” Camille told him. “There was this one customer-” “Camille,” he interrupted. “Listen, I’m tired and I don’t feel like conversation so can you just give me a few moments of peace?” She frowned, but it seemed reasonable enough, so she nodded. “Okay.
