Annalise is 21 and in college with her two best friends and her sister. She is starting her last year off on a good start. She is one grade ahead of her average age. She is studying art and wants to be the best she can be. She is assigned a partner for her last big assignment, Theo Hyde. He is the guy she has had a crush on for years, but he is also her best friend's ex-boyfriend. She tries to focus on the project, but her feelings keep getting in the way.

I coughed a little, but it was better than the dryness. “Wh-who…?” My voice broke. I tried again. “Who are you?” “My name’s Peggy,” she whispered, glancing toward the door as if afraid someone would overhear. “My mama works here too. She’s one of the healers.” I stared at her. My mind tried to process. “Sophia…” I rasped, panic swelling in my chest. She shook her head quickly. “Don’t worry! Nobody knows I’m here. I snuck in when everyone went down for dinner. Mama gave me the herbs. She told me not to come, but... I couldn’t just leave you.”

I took a deep breath and released it slowly. "Do you know someone who works at the entertainment club?" I asked. I saw she was lost for a second and it seemed her body got tense. She shook her head. "No..." she shortly replied. She reached for a glass of water and drank it straight. She looked really tense. "There is someone who works at the entertainment club who lives in your village," I opened up and started eating again. "Do you know someone named Magda? She's a good friend of mine," I asked and glanced in her direction.

I don't want to go back there and if he gets to know he will send me back there so I am going to tell him that my home is far away and they sent me out so I came here and I have nowhere else to go. Yes!!! sounds great this is what I will tell him I smiled and clapped my hands grinning happily. ASHER'S POV I drove into my Beach House, climbed the pouch and opened the door to hear play giggle coming from inside the house. I totally forgot about the insane girl Melissa that's her name I guess. I stood by the door looking at her as she clapped and giggled. This lady is sure not okay I mean who claps and giggles alone in a house where she is the only one in.
