The Almighty Dragon General

The Almighty Dragon General

“I’ll take my leave first. If there’s anything you need, feel free to call for me.” Wystan did not stay long and left the main hall. Mia and Mago began to talk about their experiences. Afterward, Mia pulled Mago over to James and introduced them to each other. “Mago, this is James. He’s the new master of Mount Nothingness. He’s the one that gave the order to save you.” Mago had a disheveled appearance but still emitted a noble aura. He looked at James and said lightly, “With my strength, I would’ve gotten out of that place soon.”

Seven Magics Academy

Seven Magics Academy

An ache of need ripped through my chest. "You are correct, Jasmine," Joanna said. "Magic has been reset. There is a disturbance among all the dead and something is happening." She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. "It's strange, but I believe those possessed by the akuma are returning to their original forms and will once again live as they had before the akuma invaded them." She was right. My magic somehow verified that Joanna spoke truth. But I didn't say anything, waiting for several beats to see if Joanna had more to say, but she opened her eyes and shook her head.

Mine

"I can't. I want to go home. This is not my home. It never will be." "I really wish you had answered that differently. It's a shame. Ollie, please take her back to the basement. Until she is ready to accept her future, she must be punished." She could see the hesitation in Ollie's features. He wasn't quite Rogue yet. I think he was only doing this based on a crush and was sucked in by the evil magic at hand. But he grabbed the chains and dragged her back down to the basement. He locked her back up to cry some more before she realized she had to go to the dream state to warn her stranger and her pack.

The Rumors Are True

The Rumors Are True

Misha went straight to the mirror after her conversation with Maggie was finished and yes, she looked haggard indeed, like she hadn’t been sleeping for three days. And Maggie was right, Kayla was the bigger reason she wasn’t able to sleep last night. The monkey left after she tossed a banana towards it. She had done a few commercials before so the good news about it wasn’t really enough to unnerve her.

Dark Escape (Book 1 of Dark Escape Duo)

Dark Escape (Book 1 of Dark Escape Duo)

Dominic’s pounding escalated in intensity. “I’m going to have to go out for the jasmine. There’s no other choice,” Maggie quipped as she started for the door. “You can’t!” Tara screamed as she grabbed Maggie’s arm to keep her from moving any further. Maggie had grown progressively weaker as the day wore on. She couldn’t explain the reasoning for this except to say that it was her time and her soul was doing its best to return to her doppelganger. Her soul memories surfaced while listening to Brandon’s tale during their walk back to her little cottage. Memories were flooding back to her but so was her soul’s desire to return to her other body. She prayed she could stay in this body long en

Step Siblings

Step Siblings

Veronica rewards me with a sarcastic smile, before taking a swig from her open can of soda. "Dammit to all hell and back." I curse, biting back a smile as the invisible stone on my face starts dispersing "Ah, is that the opposite of 'the moon and back?" Maggie's frowns in confusion, before stretching and ends it with a loud burp. The little action causes Veronica to scowl and crawl back away with her butt. "Ew, Maggie, you stink like the worst side of my room." "That's because you're a pig!" * * *

A Broken Ex Wife's Revenge

A Broken Ex Wife's Revenge

Still, Zayn turned sharply to look at her, surprise and something indecipherable in his eyes. Mago was the first to speak, getting on her feet and pulling Rina into her arms, forgoing the idea of the existence of handshakes. “This is my first time seeing you in person, and you are so stunning.” Mago was excited to meet Rina and it showed in her giddiness. “I always want to see you on my screens and I can’t wait for you to get back. Oh My God! I have to tell all my friends. They are going to go green with envy.”

Legacy

Legacy

Chapter 5 Hannah's POV Manila is nothing like the island. On the island, you can hear the breath of the ocean; here, all you hear is the suffocating roar of engines and the impatient honking of jeepneys. The air doesn't smell like salt and roasting corn; it smells like exhaust and old rain. It has been three months since the black helicopters took Luke away. Three months of silence. I smoothed out my blazer—the most professional thing I owned—and looked up at the glass giant standing in the heart of Makati. CROMWELL LEGACY. The name was embossed in silver, gleaming under the harsh midday sun. It looked untouchable.

The Hunt For Freedom

The Hunt For Freedom

It was as if it sought out wounds to heal. Dakari set the crystal down gently and Maggie immediately stiffened. “Or did!” she rubbed her throat now as the pain ebbed. “Woah, that was quick. Thanks.” “There are potions that will make your face as beautiful as ever,” he soothed. “But remembering your early attempts with potions, I will do them.” She laughed and her body ached. “I told you I have improved,” Katalea teased back. With a flick of her wrist Maggie’s burns disappeared without a trace. A smug smile on her lips didn’t hide the tears in her eyes. Her friend was still amongst the living.

Frequently Asked Questions

Found myself wondering about this after finishing 'Mage's Book.' The narrative leaves the protagonist on a cliffhanger, definitely setting the stage for more. However, as far as I've been able to dig up, there isn't a direct sequel novel that continues that specific story. The author seems to have moved on to other standalone projects in a similar magical vein, but the threads left dangling in 'Mage's Book' remain untied. It's a bit frustrating for those of us who got attached.

That said, the author's other work, 'The Alchemist's Ledger,' explores a neighboring kingdom mentioned briefly in the original book. It's not a sequel, but it feels like it shares a universe—some of the magical systems overlap, and there's a passing reference to the events of 'Mage's Book' that made me perk up. It scratches a similar itch, even if it doesn't answer the big questions. I ended up enjoying it on its own terms, though part of me still hopes the author circles back someday.

For now, I'd say check out the author's other titles for a similar vibe, but don't expect a continuation of the same plot.
