The Chained Luna

The Chained Luna

Mira was barely conscious beside me. I leaned toward her. “Stay with me.” Her voice was faint. “I’m trying…” We were taken deeper underground. Far below the prison cells, and far below the pack. The air became colder, while the walls there were rougher. Then we reached a giant stone pit. A circle of ancient symbols covered the ground. I stared in horror. “What is this?” Varek stepped beside the edge. A truth chamber.” Seraphine smiled. “It breaks liars.”

Bound by blood and moonlight

Bound by blood and moonlight

This time, I knocked. No answer. I hesitated, then entered. The chamber looked the same luxurious, cold, and empty of warmth. The fireplace burned low. I waited, standing by the door, unsure if he was in the shadows or just late. That’s when I saw the second room one I hadn’t noticed before. The door stood open. Inside was another chamber. Not as lavish. More brutal. Chains hung from the wall. Whips, blades, objects I couldn’t even name. My stomach twisted.

The Ties That Binds

The Ties That Binds

“We get locked in. And gassed.” A chill raced down Savannah’s spine, but Jackson touched her lower back, guiding her forward. “Stay close.” They walked quiet, steady, shadows stretching long ahead of them. The hallway extended into a sharp corner, then another. Cole led them through an access door that required his retinal scan. The lock clicked open reluctantly, like a creature waking up after years of sleep. Inside was a massive chamber. Steel floors. Stacks of cold servers humming with encrypted data. A long glass wall revealing a second room behind it dark, silent, and as ominous as an unmarked grave.

The Assassin's Atonement VIII

The Assassin's Atonement VIII

Well, I’m here to prove them wrong. I’ve been surveilling them for two weeks, waiting for them to choose their victim and educating myself on their daily routine. I also hacked into their home’s security system and searched the premises until I found their private chamber of horrors. The chamber is what I imagine a fifteenth-century dungeon must have looked like. The smell of bleach permeates the air, but it doesn’t completely mask the smell of human waste and blood. I swallow hard as I inspect the room’s contents. Manacles are lining the grimy stone walls, a pool in the middle of the room filled with an unknown substance. From the color and smell, I know that it’s not water. A variety of kn

knives of varying sizes, pliers, clamps, whips, and electrical probes. In the far corner sat a steel cage, its bars thick, reinforced, unbreakable. The floors were made of dark stone, the air laced with the faint scent of metal and dried blood. This was a chamber of retribution. A place built for one man’s suffering. Hector smiled as he approached the cage. With little effort, he opened the heavy iron door and threw Ruby inside. Her body slumped against the cold metal floor, her unconscious form barely stirring. Hector straightened, dusting off his hands as he turned to Don Gray.

I'm scared out of my wits for Ruby. I hope Carlos reaches her on time, for both her and Hector’s sake... Antonio, that fool! He caused this. I hope Camilla ends whatever relationship she has with him. Selfish bastard!

I really love the story, the love, the emotions everything was felt, the male lead is an intentional man and I really loved him, there were times I had a good laugh because of the female lead naivety, the story was amazing and that I especially loved the happy ending.

Your Penance Means Nothing

Your Penance Means Nothing

It was Lucas. Lucas wanted to ram Tammie's car with his own car, but Emily had run her car over to block his path. I covered Leonardo's eyes and asked Tammie to take him to kindergarten. He could not know what had happened today. When I arrived at the hospital, I saw the police outside the operating room, along with a little boy. Adam's eyes were hollow, and his small figure stood motionless outside the operating room. He clenched his fists and refused to say a word.
