Percy, for whom Darla would rather die, than live on in a world where Percy does not exist.
“Alright,” Percy says. He brings his arms up to wrap around Darla’s waist where the girl lays splayed atop him, and Darla buries her face in the juncture of Percy’s neck.
“We shall just go down in a blaze of foolhardy glory together then, like a pair of fools,” Percy adds, and Darla huffs.
“You are not nearly as funny as you think you are,” Darla mutters but smiles nonetheless when she feels Percy smile where his lips are pressed to the top of Darla’s head.
