Chapter 2

Gigi Pov

I seem to be out of my mind while walking in the middle of the road. I still can't believe I'm inside Girlie's favorite werewolf novel. What I wonder is how I got into the world of the novel. Could it be that Gigi's novel has magic and wants to punish me so I was brought inside the world of the novel because I threw it in the trash bin? But whatever the reason I got inside the novel is I don't care. All that matters to me is to get out and went back to the real world. Just thinking about being in a world where humans and werewolves live and exist together makes all my hair stand. I've never seen a werewolf before and I might faint from fear if I did.

I stopped walking and looked around me. Everything is normal. Even the clothes of the people are the same as the clothes in the real world except that there are werewolves who live with normal people in this world. In the novel that Girlie is reading werewolves and normal people live together but werewolves look down on normal people unless they are rich and their clan is famous. But in the real world if people find out that you're not a normal human especially if you're a werewolf the media will definitely hound you and the scientists will definitely scramble to study your blood.

In this world, all the characters are just created by the author of the novel and they all have their own roles in the story, so what about me? What will be my role in this world? Don't tell me I'm just going to be a ghost loitering everywhere. A ghost wandering the streets.

"Gigi! Where are you? Gigi!" I heard the familiar loud voice of a man who seemed to be looking for someone. I looked around again to find the man who was shouting. I heard my name so that means I'm the one he was looking for. Does anyone know me in this world? Or maybe it's my father's voice from outside the novel and he was looking for me. Or it might be my father is also here in the novel. But how did he end up inside the novel too? Well, that is not impossible because even I was stuck here inside so it is also possible that Dad is here.

I was about to leave where I was standing because I was still in the middle of the road but my intention to walk was interrupted. My eyesight seems to turn around. I closed my eyes and gently shook my head. When I opened my eyes, a man on a horse met my sight. I suddenly stiffened because the horse he was riding was also in front of me and would run over me if I didn't avoid it. But how could I avoid it when my knees suddenly went weak with fear? So I just close my eyes again and waited for the horse feet to crush my body.

I expected the horse feet to stomp on my body, but instead, I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist. I felt my body lift off the ground but only for a few seconds. I quickly opened my eyes to find out what happened and who saved me. When I opened my eyes, the face of a handsome and tall man frowning greeted me. His eyelashes were fluffy and matches his dark and beautiful but sharp eyes. The shape of his nose is perfect and beautiful and his lips are red as if he had applied lipstick. But of course, he doesn't have lipstick on his lips now because it will be noticeable if he wears some lipstick. The redness of his lips is natural which is rare for me to see from men. I often see that men's lips are pale and slightly dark. In television shows or movies, men wear makeup, so naturally, their lips are red because they use lipstick.

"Are you done staring and studying my face, Lady?" the man spoke rudely to me which brought my mind back to reality. Because of embarrassment, I suddenly pushed the man away from me.

"Are you going to kill me? What if you didn't manage to get me away from your horse? I'm sure my body is crushed now or worst your horse might have dragged me along the road. Why don't you at least beep beep so that people will know that a person riding a giant horse coming," I glared at him angrily to cover the embarrassment I felt. And one more thing, I was really scared by the sudden appearance of his horse.

"You're still blaming me now? Who would be stupid standing in the middle of the road when you know it's dangerous? Besides, what beep beep are you saying?" the man asked me angrily, his face darkening even more.

If he hadn't called me a fool I would have laughed when I heard the last thing he said. I forgot that he couldn't understand what beep beep meant because obviously there are no cars in this world. But he called me "stupid" so I won't let it pass. I will fight him even though I know I made a mistake because I was in the middle of the road and it was dangerous for me to stand in there. But he can't blame me because I am too shocked that I am suddenly inside the story of the novel. He also shouldn't have spoken harsh words to me. Who does he think he is? Is he Prince Phil, one of the four princes of this kingdom?

"Shameless! You're the one who almost killed someone and you're the one who seems proud. What if I'm standing on the road? Why? Are you the owner of the road so I'm not allowed to stand in the middle?" I answered him annoyed. I don't care if people around are looking at us and whispering.

"What a brave woman you are! Do you know who I am? Do you want me to kill you right now?" he asked me in a dangerous voice. I only felt more annoyed with the arrogant man. I was about to answer him but suddenly a palm covered my mouth from my back to stop me from talking back to the rude man.

"Please, forgive my daughter's rudeness, Your Highness. She doesn't recognize you because she lost her sanity after her mother died. So I apologize for all the things my daughter says, Prince Phil," the person who covered my palm begged the rude man and then he suddenly kneeled after releasing me. And that man was none other than my father in the real world. I was surprised to see my father inside the novel but I was even more surprised to hear the name he mentioned.

Prince Phil? The werewolf prince who was the protagonist in the story of the novel that Girlie always read was the man in front of me now? I feels more annoyed with him when I found out who he is. Did I come here just to meet  the werewolf prince in the story that I hated the most?
