Persephone responded with a mysterious twinkle in her eye, "Is there anything else I can help you with, Mr. Velimir? My friend's waiting for me outside; she's my ride." "I could always give you a ride home," I reply, taking a step closer, smiling at her sudden intake of breath. "That won't be necessary, Mr. Velimir. If there's nothing else…" she trails off. "I'll see you tomorrow. If you could be here at noon sharp to fill out your paperwork." I reply, turning and heading back toward the desk, taking a seat. "I'll see you then… Hades." Persephone purrs, her face lighting up with a smile when I look back at her before she turns and strolls out of the room.

"Do not touch me." The hall quieted. He laughed. "Still pretending? Who else would you choose? Cassian Hadeion? The last scrap of Hades, hidden in the shadow wing because even Olympus cannot decide whether to pity him or fear him?" Several guests laughed with him. "He cannot stand in the sun without looking half-dead," Apollo went on. "His underworld wings were shattered in the chariot fall that killed his parents. Some say he will never fly again. Some say the darkness broke more than that. Is that the husband you want, Persephone?"

"One day, when Persephone the young goddess was gathering flowers by the stream, Hades the brother of Zeus and god of the underworld abducts her. Zeus and Demeter kept asking for her. Reluctant to release her, he forces Persephone to eat a pomegranate seed, the food of the dead" the other female voice continued. "We always believe she would come back but we didn't know who she would come back as. We only knew she was going to come back as someone we least expect" my said guardian continued. He faced her with different emotions playing on his face so Eleena couldn't clearly tell what he is really telling. Apollo closed his eyes before taking a deep breath then he sighed and Eleena instantly knew that what was happening was a burden to Apollo. He sighs once more and Eleena is agitated. She even wants to shake Apollo to squeeze the answers from him but her nervousness is restraining her from moving. Apollo finally looked her in the eye and as if they could communicate through eye contact, Eleena felt the weight of the problem. “You just met Persephone, Hades’s wife.”

"Do not dare contradict me, wife." At that, Hera knew that she would not get what she wanted from him, and instead faced Hades. "She will never willingly follow you below." "There are other ways to get what you want, when the other person disagrees." Hades replied, "You of all people should know this." She blew at that point. "She will never love you!" Hades reply was soft. "She can. We have forever together" After he left, Hades found Persephone, which according to law, was his wife since her Father had given his consent, and taken her home.

This unnecessary party was something he hated having to be apart of. The Fates understood the reason why Hades disliked these gatherings. Life and death never stopped. They all had their part in bringing the mortals into the world and out to the underworld. It was there at that party that Atropos had the unnatural vision. It was the first she’s ever had of the Gods, even worse of them wanting to mingle with those they deemed nothing more than entertainment. With that knowledge about the time the Gods would want to one day come down from Olympus and be amongst the mortals and something strange would happen to those that did.

Lucian looked out across the trees “ Just thinking.” Athena stepped into view accidentally. Lucian’s eyes snapped towards her. Then, slowly, he leaned down and kissed Helena full on the mouth. Athena stood frozen, Helena smiled against his lips. Triumphant. Lucian pulled back, not looking at Helena, but at Athena. Athena turned and fled. —————— She couldn’t take it anymore.
