Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

No longer entertaining peculiar thoughts, she embraced maturity and tranquility. In her free time, she read, painted, and played the piano, exuding both courtesy and intimidation. This transformation had been triggered by a profound loss at the age of 16—her best friend. After completing her university studies, she would often find herself seated by the window, gazing into the distance and reminiscing about the day she first met her best friend. - Back then. Persephone was just a kindergartener, and her brother was merely a year old. The occasion was a visit to Cumulus City with her father to see Maisie's twins. While the adults engaged in conversation and laughter inside the house, she snea

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

Corrupted

Corrupted

Closing her eyes, her grip tightened on the sword, encouraging her heart as it has gone more personal than obligatory. “I won’t let darkness consume you, Zadicus.” “I must end this where it started.” Speaking to herself, she rushed to the cave to stop Zadicus from taking Fiend Forgery. She ran in his direction to reach him before it’s too late. Gritting her teeth from thinking about any dire consequences. On the way explosives came out of nowhere in her path, “What the-” Stopping, Persephone jumped back, looking up and saw an albino girl standing on a cliff, with her white locks flowing in the air, hands on her waist, smiling at her.

Corruption

Corruption

And don’t get her wrong, Proserpina is fond of reading as much as she is of breathing and any other time she might be interested to tackle any of those topics but right now, she was looking for… well, at least something that will amuse her because she might end up setting the room on hellfire just for the heck because that is how she is so bored out of her mind right now. So Proserpina moves on to the next row, then the next one, and the next one, on and on until she was literally kneeling like a child on the floor when she finally comes across a book third to the last on the bottom row in between a skinny book and leather bound one; the book was silver-gray, small and light in her hands and

Love in Peril

Love in Peril

Luis pulled Alex up from the ground, turning his head toward the stretcher, forcing him to see my lifeless body. "Also, she was a month into her pregnancy. The baby had not fully developed." Hearing this, I was stunned and gently touched my stomach. It explained my missed periods and how I felt nauseous at the smell of meat lately. And the more I thought about it, the more I hated Alex. It was he who betrayed me, yet all of the past vows seemed to come back to haunt me. Later, Alex broke down, holding my dead body and cried through the night in the lobby.

The Queen of Shadows

The Queen of Shadows

But they could not command a soul to remain when it had already begun its journey elsewhere. And this soul was leaving... The realization was as devastating now as it had been the first time. The girl squeezed her hand weakly. "Was she real?" Demeter already knew who she meant. Her gaze drifted toward the rain-streaked window. Toward memories she spent centuries trying not to relive. "Yes," she whispered. "Persephone was real." The girl seemed satisfied by the answer. Outside, lightning flashed across the sky. The room filled with silver light for a brief instant. And something moved beyond the trees.

"What brings you here, Mr. Quill? This is so sudden that we haven't even had time to give you a proper welcome." "I'm just here to check on things. Tell me where the crystal pendant came from—why did it fall from the sky and land before me?" Lysander asked. "I-I bought this from a market. We were horsing around earlier and accidentally made it fly out the window." "The market? Horsing around? Ha!" I heard the sound of someone slamming the desk. Lysander roared, "Open your eyes wide—I carved this for my fiancée. It's the only one in this world!

Claimed By The Mafia Boss

Isa whispered. Marco passed me a glance. I shrugged, agreeing to let her show her sympathy. It was really all we could give them right now. Marco squatted so he could drop Lily. Isa let go of Persephone and wiped her eyes for the umpteenth time today. Persephone picked at her fingers, the anxiety growing in her. “How old are you, Sephy?” I asked. Persephone looked up. She had the eyes that everyone in the region had for me.

she muttered quietly, almost to herself, instantly tugging Alistair out of his sudden concern if he should go take a look on a mirror. He blinked, “What is?” She waved a hand, “Never mind. I suppose I should just go ahead and say it, then: I am Proserpina, goddess of shadows and keeper of death.” the patron goddess of monster-hunters and heir to the underworld strangely went unspoken.
