Phoenix In Human Form Novels & Stories

Phoenix stood nearby, arms crossed, eyes glinting with something unreadable. “You look beautiful,” he added as he walked over to take his seat. Heat rushed to my face. Did he watch the display just now? “Thank you.” I took my seat quickly. “I… I’m grateful,” I said, glancing at him. “I didn’t think you’d actually bring him.” “You made one request,” Phoenix replied calmly. “I would’ve fulfilled it no matter what.” I stared at him. Maybe Phoenix wasn’t as heartless as I’d thought. Maybe he was a good person, trapped in a family that believed themselves superior to every other race. Born into cruelty. Raised in it. Did that excuse it? I didn’t know.

The old physician was already present, tending to Amelia who was laying lifeless on the floor. “I am disappointed in the two of you,” Melnyk said as his boys changed back to their human forms. Melnyk looked at Amelia, “What is a human doing in my palace?” he asked furiously. He looked at his boys who were already in their shorts for their changed form had stripped them off all their clothes.

“Has anyone told your or did Phoenix show you the difference in your human form?” I frown. “No. I looked different in my human form too?” “Yeah. A lot different. You looked like a teenager before. I expected you to look like that when you shifted this time, but your human form is as different as your dragon form. Phoenix says she gave you the life you were always meant to live. I guess being a full dragon with a man’s body is what she meant.” “I guess.” I stare out over the water in front of us, watching as the sunlight dances on the ripples in the water.

And a warm, rich scent-a scent that made her want to tip back her head and howl. She continued around the table until he was directly in her line of sight-then she sat down at an empty table just beside theirs. Her eyes never leaving him, she studied him. Oh yeah, she knew she wanted him. For a moment, she closed her eyes as her rational mind took control. Why was this happening to her? It was as if the wolf in her was in control. But that didn’t happen. She didn’t stay in human form and think like the wolf. She didn’t allow that. Some werewolves did. Sam did. He was more wolf than man at all times. She didn’t allow that. She didn’t.

"Circa two hundred years old, written before the bloodline was believed extinct." He opened it carefully, pages yellowed and brittle, and began reading aloud passages he'd already marked. "Phoenix power manifests in stages, typically triggered by significant emotional extremity or physical crisis. Early manifestations often present as elevated body temperature, accelerated healing, and localized warmth concentrated near the heart." "That matches everything I've experienced."

"The phoenix had always wanted to thread our territory all around, and because of them, we, dwarfs, stopped our organisation in small villages, and formed this big one. Big and dreaded. "Then we combined our powers to form a shield around us, and we have been doing fine til now." "So, what you're trying to tell me is that you don't step into my territory, neither did you turn my guards to babies, nor took my messenger with you?" "Yes. And according to my calculation, your messenger must have been dead by now." "Why?" "No one can survive a second with the phoenix. It's either they turn the person to someone like them, thereby eating up all his memories, or they use him as a sweet sacrifice to

As he stared at her she didn't even look like she had any kind of injury. “How, how is it you’re completely healed? You don't have any injuries, your leg was infected and you flat-line while we were working on you. How is it possible?” Doctor Fox asked, already in Doctor mode even in a burning building. “Uh, doc I don't think we have time for me to explain what happened, partly because I am not entirely sure I could explain it. All I know is that, apparently I'm some kind of Pure Phoenix, and that means I can't die. Well, I can die but I will always comeback to life.” Trixie said, as she looked around trying to find a way to get out of here without the doctor dying and her dying again. She l

"My heart didn't beat. My lungs didn't breathe. But Director Okonkwo's people brought me back. They used magic and science and things that shouldn't exist. They made me... this." Phoenix held up a hand, and it became translucent, like smoke. "I exist between life and death. I can touch both worlds. And Director Okonkwo has spent five years teaching me to use that power. To heal. To harm. To control." "This child is confused," Nadia said quickly. "The procedures used to save them were intensive. They've had difficulty distinguishing reality from…" "I can prove it," Phoenix said. "Watch." The child walked to where one of the Council Elders sat, an ancient man who looked frail and sick. Phoenix

" She assured. Axion's anger vanished and he felt secure once again. " Promise? " He asked and Phoenix placed one of her hands on his face, stroking it reassuringly. " I promise " Phoenix smiled at him. To convince him even more, Phoenix hugged him, tight. Axion's whole body relaxed as Phoenix hugged him. He so felt safe and comfortable that even the beast inside him couldn't help but agree that the hug was the most assuring hug anyone would give to him. And like that, he slowly wrapped his big hands around her tiny body, returning the hug. Sniffing in her scent was enough to soothe his brain and the beast in him. Without even knowing it, he started taking back the form of a human until he f

I continue staring at him like a zombie under a spell to remain like that. "You might wonder why I'm so rude and aggressive, I don't want any guy to have you." He breaths heavily, his wolf growls out so loud that it's audible even in his human form. Phoenix wouldn't have any means of contacting me again, he doesn't have my personal number neither does any member of his family.
