"Seraphina Agni, save our clan and come back safe. We need you, before our clan disappears, please— save the phoenix from crying..."

Gael got down on the ground next to her. “Don’t forget to breath baby.” Gael said. “Ready Phoenix?” “Ready Freya.” Phoenix could feel the moment Freya took over. It wasn’t painful, just uncomfortable. She got hot all over, and her body felt like rubber. Her limbs moved and started to break. She panted and concentrated on not tensing up. She felt itchy as hair forced it’s way through her skin. Her bones popped and reformed as canine limbs. Phoenix felt immense power and smiled to herself because she was about to be introduced to her inner soul.

They were meant to be the Goddess’ physical representatives down here on Earth. Third, there were the Phoenix wolves. They were the most powerful and only born when the world would need it most. I don’t want there to be secrets or misunderstandings between us,’ she told me.

There at the center of the open space where a bloodied Phoenix was supposed to be dying between the teeth of hungry wolves, there were 6 identical naked forms of Phoenix 5 of them with their eyes closed. This was the fulfillment of all of Uriel's experiments.

There was an undeniable spark that always made her pulse quicken, an energy that seemed to dance and flicker with a life of its own, echoing his unwavering loyalty. Luna begged her twin sister. Mara shook her head and opened her palm "I was injured while fighting him. They will follow us no matter what we do running. So run away Luna. At least one of us will survive. "This is not the time for that! We have to run while there is still time" Luna was wailing and begging but Mara was ready to sacrifice herself. By sunset, only Adrian’s people remained. Adrian led her inside, his sharp gaze was all over her. The grand entrance boasted a massive chandelier, dripping with crystal, reflecting light across marble floors polished to perfection. A staircase curled up to the second floor, its golden railings gleaming under the dim lights. Art pieces hung on the walls. There was no doubt this was the home of someone who controlled everything within its walls. "Listen carefully, Seraphina," Adrian finally spoke, turning to face her. "There are rules you will follow if you intend to stay here. Break them, and we will have problems."

"I invented death, little flame. I was the first wolf to discover that the space between living and dying could be walked like a path. Your ancestors called it the Shadow Walk." A scream cut through his words — not human, not animal, but something worse. The sound of a phoenix having its fire torn out by the roots. Through the shattered windows, I saw him. At the moment it split, a golden bird emerged with a sharp, melodious cry. “It’s a Phoenix! This is the true Phoenix!” Ignis exclaimed with excitement. His words caught everyone’s attention. As the Phoenix was the king of birds, all must bow before it. Except for Ignis, Lucian, and myself, everyone else knelt in unison, chanting, “Welcome, Your Majesty!” The cheers grew louder and more enthusiastic. My little Phoenix fluttered around the room for a few moments before gently landing in front of me. When it settled into my arms, it transformed into a human-shaped infant. Feeling my warmth, it yawned and fell into a deep sleep.

His gaze flicked downward. Talon followed his eyes and felt the faintest prickling sensation crawling up his legs. "You think humans and animals are the only ones whose skeletons I can call upon?" Hugh sneered. "I can call upon even insects! Those ants will bite at you till you die! Even if you kill me, they won't stop until there’s nothing left but your bones, and I will gladly add you, Phoenix King, to my army!" Talon scoffed. "Oh really?" Without hesitation, his body ignited in a pillar of flames. His form shifted, his flesh turning into golden-red feathers as his massive phoenix form emerged. A scorching wave of heat erupted from his body, instantly incinerating the swarm of skeletal ins
