Nanny for My Own Child

Nanny for My Own Child

Bia was deeply moved. Truly. She hadn't expected it. The senior Bimantara had even remembered her and asked the photographer to take her picture. Holding tightly to the small photo—Agam had intentionally asked for it to be printed wallet-sized so she could keep it without raising suspicion—she pressed it close to her chest. This picture would comfort her whenever she missed her son and couldn't see him. Especially once she left the Bimantara residence. Bia had to mentally prepare herself so she wouldn't end up crying like a child later on.

THE CEO LEFT ME.... THEN CAME BACK BEGGING

THE CEO LEFT ME.... THEN CAME BACK BEGGING

Dozens of yellowed photographs scattered across the stone floor. One photograph slid directly to Amelia's feet. She picked it up. Her breath caught. It showed six smiling adults... Standing behind two newborn babies. And on the back, written in Samuel Ashcroft's unmistakable handwriting, were seven chilling words: > One child would save us. One would destroy us. The photograph slipped from Amelia's trembling fingers. It landed face up on the cold stone floor. For a brief second... The gunfire stopped. Everyone's eyes were drawn to the image. Six adults.

The Wrong Vow, My Perfect Match

The Wrong Vow, My Perfect Match

Ama wandered through the silent streets. A strange feeling settled over her. Not loneliness. Expectation. As though the city was waiting. In the center stood a massive circular plaza. At its heart rose a single monument. Not a statue. A mirror. Twenty feet tall. Framed in living vines. Its surface shimmered like liquid glass. Ama stepped closer. This time, her reflection did not appear. Instead... Countless faces emerged. Men. Women. Children. Old. Young. All smiling gently. Then, one by one...

Falling in love wasn't the plan

Falling in love wasn't the plan

Amara paused, she slid her finger on the screen of the phone and the picture changed. This picture was taken in the library, from under the table. Alex was standing near the shelves searching for some books and it at the same time when the pic was captured. No doubts, the guy looked hot in the candid pic with a side profile. Amara caresses the length of his body and shed more tears.

Beneath Lagos Rain

Beneath Lagos Rain

Expecting the correction. The explanation. The misunderstanding. None came. "No." The word emerged weakly. Broken. Father Michael didn't argue. Didn't persuade. Didn't defend. He simply reached into his pocket. And handed her a photograph. Old. Worn. Protected for years. Amara looked. A young woman stood beside Samuel Okeke. Smiling. Happy. Alive. Amara's heart stopped. Because she knew that face. Not from memory. From pictures. From childhood. From the few photographs she still kept.

I Accidentally Married My Enemy

And pressed a button. Beep. Amara suddenly gasped. Pain exploded violently through her head. Memories. Images. Voices. A woman crying. Someone shouting: “Take her! Take the child!” Running footsteps. Blood. Then, a woman holding her tightly. Tears in her eyes. And whispering: “Forgive me, Amara.” Amara froze. Because she knew that face. She knew it. Not from photos. Not from stories. From somewhere deep inside her memory.

In Love With The Dangerous Professor

And the photograph. At the end of the document, Amaya had left it. One image, dated six months ago, with location metadata showing a suburb in Buenos Aires. An older man sitting at a table outside what looked like a small restaurant, coffee in front of him, reading a newspaper, oblivious to the camera. Grey haired, aged in the ways of one who had spent years outdoors. Still broad across the shoulders, even now, even at 60. Caelum stared at the photograph for a long time.

He Slept With My Sister, When I Was Giving Birth

The architects of my destruction. I was about to close the page when another image caught my eye—a smaller news item about pack education initiatives. Damon stood with a group of officials, but it was the background that froze me in place. A small girl with dark hair partially obscured behind other children, her face solemn and somehow older than her years. But those eyes—my eyes—stared directly into the camera. "Ava," I whispered, her name a prayer and a wound.

Finally.. We had reached end of the story. I must say it had been an emotional roller coaster for me with the characters in the story, esp with Ava who had made me teared up multiple times with her innocence, resilience and bravery for her age. One of the best books I had read.. Great job Jenne!

CAKE's Evidence

CAKE's Evidence

“I will.” We left Rozwell Compound and a multimedia message arrived on the second phone. “This might be the only phone where the clue comes in an MMS,” she commented and opened the message. It contained two images: one is a young girl in AMU's P.E. uniform, unconscious and tied up; the other is some sort of a large open building without any doors and windows. She saved the images to the phone’s gallery and zoomed in, possibly trying to find a clue that would determine the location.
