his voice drops lower, sending sparks down my spine.
I slowly take in a deep breath, relaxing into his arms, “I wasn't scared. I was just startled.”
His brows furrow slightly, “No excuses Mouse. If I were to hold you this way in public, would you go around explaining to everyone that you were startled?”
I shake my head in the negative, pursing my lips as his heartbeat echoes between us.
“Exactly. So you have to get used to me touching you.”
“Sure thing,” I reply, my voice barely above a whisper.
