I ask Levi. He breathes in slowly. "Like never before," he says. My mother and his' start recording the moment. Everyone gathers around us as Sophie hands us some party cones. We then count together to three and press them together to blow the confetti and smoke into the air. For a moment I close my eyes, nervous. But as soon as I hear the astonishment in Levi's voice I force them open. The smoke from his cone, I notice, is pink. And mine is blue.

I could call in a fake fire drill.” A small, genuine smile cracked my mask. I started typing back, my thumbs moving fast, desperate to hold onto the "unpredictable" energy she radiated even through a screen.

" She kissed me on the cheeks then she left. So I did what she said. Grab is way safer. I booked a grab then returned home. As expected, they're having a war. I put my earpods in and played load music. 'Stiil Into You' by Paramore. I entered my room and packed all my clothes on a luggage. Maybe they wont see me leaving because their favorite war spot is the kitchen. Because the plates and glasses are there. So that they can throw it at each other. Damn life. I didn't left a single clothes there. I also did change. I just wore a simple shirt and a high waisted jeans. That will do.

Mr. Elvis went on explaining school procedures about attendance, club registration, library hours, and campus safety. It was mostly formal stuff.

‎His ears go pink. ‎“There’s no girl.” ‎“Liar. Your face is redder than the Camaro was before you painted it.” ‎He rubs the back of his neck. “Her name’s Lila. Works at Brewed Awakening. Makes the best lavender latte I’ve ever had.” ‎I gasp dramatically. “Elias Faez is drinking lavender lattes? Who are you and what did you do with my brother?” ‎“Shut up.” ‎“Make me.”

I stared down at my hand, momentarily lost to the world around me until Parker cleared his throat. "Well, since that's over, shall we begin, Mr. Verlice?" Parker asked. "And can you introduce who this beautiful chocolate is?" I raised my head in time to see Lavender roll her eyes from the corner of my vision. Lavender's voice cut through the conversation. "I guess you didn't pick up on the professional sermon of mine. My name is Lavender, I'm his new PA and I am not a chocolate — you might want to work on your pickup line."

The little boy’s cheeks are puffed up and his face is turning red as he tries to concentrate. He is trying to picture a red fireball in his mind but it is distorted. No matter how hard he tires, he cannot seem to channel his energy to it. “Concentrate, Lavi,” a gentle voice tells him. “It is hard!” Lavi complains and glances at the woman sitting next to him. She has long, wine colored hair which is shining under the bright sky. Her face exudes an exotic aura but she is sweet with an angelic demeanor. She smiles at him and pinches his cheek.
