Morning began with a scream. A full-throttle, three-year-old kind of scream, the kind that sounded like someone just lost their first love. “PAPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!” It echoed from downstairs like a building evacuation alert. I hadn’t even touched my toothbrush before it followed with sobs, tiny stomps, hiccups, and one adult voice that clearly regretted ever volunteering as the substitute dad.

In shock, Michelle exclaimed, "Alex, are you even human? How can you bully a child?!" Alex found himself at the receiving end of Michelle's vehement outburst, but he dared not make a sound. After all, he was indeed the reason Lizzy was crying. Upon seeing Michelle, Lizzy's tears ceased almost instantly. Yet, she couldn't hold back her sobbing hiccups, coming in rhythmic waves, evoking both laughter and sympathy from anyone watching.

Mingchan said and then his tears involuntarily came out from his eyes. Zuno was so surprised and did not expect that. “Wait, what?!” Zuno gasped. He then saw Mingchan crying without closing his eyes. “Oh, Mingchan, you are crying! Hey!” Zuno called him. Mingchan then touched his cheeks. “Oh, why am I crying? Are robots supposed to be crying when we reboot? I don’t know why and I can’t really breathe, Zuno. I feel suffocated. It really hurts. The pain is really strong.” Mingchan sobbed.

“Caprice, don’t you have anything to tell us?” Caprice replied, “I can’t hop on a video call right now, so I’ll explain it by text. Everything that I’m about to tell you is the truth.” Freya replied, “Alright, shoot.” Lana said the same, “Sure, go ahead.” As for Piper, she sent a funny sticker of a penguin grabbing a pack of popcorn.

“El? Elna?” She sniffs. I straighten up. She’s crying. I put the phone off speaker mode. My wife is crying. El is crying. Why is El crying?

“Why would we need to like each other? We would be married.” How… depressing. “How foolish of me.” My hopes had not been high for Lilliana, but somehow they sunk even further. I truly was looking forward toward a life of loneliness with such a wife who would deny me even her honest opinions on her favorite color. A flash of movement in the corner of my eye caught my attention. Further down the hallway, Piper had knelt beside Elva. Elva appeared to be crying. At once, I stepped away from Lilliana. “If you will please excuse me.”

I cut him off. “I am way too disgusted to talk to you right now,” I growled, teleporting to the room. I collapsed on the bed, crying heavily. How dare he say that to me huh, how can he say he wants to get rid of our pup? The pup we made together. He is supposed to be happy we are having a pup not bitching about it. What is bad about having a pup? “Please stop crying Octavia, you are stressing the pup,” Lila said, sounding sad.

Lilac sat on his lap and licked her ice cream as she asked, "Mister, what's wrong? Are you crying because I didn't want to share my ice cream with you? I'll give it to you now, okay?" Then, she placed the ice cream near his lips. Curtis looked at Lilac and felt bitter in his heart. With tears in his eyes, he hugged even tightly and said, "It's okay. I'm just too happy." "Aren't you supposed to smile when you're happy?" Lilac asked in confusion. With a pout on her lips, she slowly helped Curtis wipe his tears away.

They threw puzzled looks at her and Piper sighed, looking downcast. “Mommy, what’s wrong? Are you hurt?” Liam asked, out of concern. Alexander walked up to her and put his arm around her shoulder. “Ivy, what’s wrong?” As ivy looked up at him, he noticed that tears were rolling down her chin and dripping on her clothes. “What’s wrong? Why are you crying? Come on. Liam shouldn’t see you crying.” Alexander expressed his concern. “Is it true?” “What exactly?” Ivy sniffed and tried to cry without Liam finding out that she was crying while Liam was trying to catch a glimpse of what was going on, but he was too short to see what was going on. He didn’t stand on the bed because of the IV he was on.

Paige blushed at how gentle Chris was to her, which was rare. After a few pats, Chris asked, “Why aren’t you asleep?” Paige then remembered what woke her up. Frightened, she hugged him tighter and said softly, “Did you hear it? Someone is crying!” Crying? Chris listened carefully and did hear intermittent crying. When Paige heard it again, she clung to his waist. Her voice quivered as she said, “W-Who’s crying? Could it be a ghost?” Chris looked at the shaking girl in his arms and was rendered speechless. The girl must have watched too many movies.
