We are secure. I let out a ragged sob of relief right there on the battlefield. The weight of the world lifted from my chest for one beautiful, fleeting second. But the war above was not over. The massive golden ship hovered directly over the center of the Onyx Palace. Its underbelly opened, revealing a plasma cannon three times the size of the ones we had seen before.

Although Peltratria laughed as he said that, he picked up the pace. As they got closer to the door, Chasm recognized this type of ship as a transport instead of any sort of fighting machine.
