I am not whole. People always talk about grief in terms of death. There’s no going back from that cryptic place; no way to recover what you’ve lost. That person is gone, permanently, and you’re left alone in a world that’s indifferent to your existence. One thing they forget to mention, however, is that losing a friendship can hurt just as much. The Mateo I knew is as good as dead. The ghost of him lingers – in the gifts in my dresser, in his faint scent on my bed, in the walking corpse that looks like him still. But he’s gone. We’re done.

TAMING THE PLAYBOY ALPHA

TAMING THE PLAYBOY ALPHA

I know for a fact that I’ve far gone past crazy, and my mental stability has long crumbled but the pain only seared hotter. “Where the hell are you, Freya,” I say whilst musing on his words. No matter how much it angered me, he was right. We were friends. The title had just been stated a week before she went missing. I was just a friend. And yet now, more than ever, I can’t help but wish I was a whole lot more.

Saved By A Dark Billionaire

Saved By A Dark Billionaire

I feel like I've lost my best friend, and I don't know what to do. I know my moving away has made things hard, reducing us to writing letters to keep in touch. I understand that things are different now, but I feel like you've forgotten about me. We used to talk all the time, and now we don’t talk at all. I have not gotten a letter from you, instead I receive the letters I sent you in return. Maybe you’ve decided to no longer be my friend, or perhaps you met someone new to take my place, and are too busy to write. I miss our conversations. I miss just being around you.

Dear author, I enjoy your books so much that I began chasing them through the apps. You are very talented, thank you for the experience you provided me through your stories! Half way through with this one, but I am already hooked, it's a gem, alongside the rest of your creations! Thank you-hug !

This book was great, I couldn’t stop reading it! Congratulations on great writing and I cannot wait for the future stories with the other characters. I hope Rose and Lucas will pop in those stories from time to time. Are the next books on Goodnovel?

Divorced and Runaway: Mr. CEO Wants Me Back

Divorced and Runaway: Mr. CEO Wants Me Back

And now, the distance between us was a painful reminder of what I couldn’t reciprocate. I stared at the screen for a long moment, my fingers hovering over the keyboard. What could I even say? How do you tell someone that you miss their friendship, that you miss how things used to be, but you can’t offer them more than that? It wasn’t fair—to him or to me. Finally, I typed a quick response: Missed having you here, but I understand. We should catch up soon. I hesitated before hitting send, unsure if it would do any good.

THE CEO'S NOT-SO-OBEDIENT WIFE

THE CEO'S NOT-SO-OBEDIENT WIFE

The melody washed over me like a balm, its lyrics resonating with my pain. Lying on the bed, I stared up at the unfamiliar ceiling, lost in the abyss of my thoughts. Homesickness tugged at my heartstrings, longing for the comfort of familiarity and the warmth of loved ones. I contemplated reaching out to Natalie and Laila, my closest friends, seeking their familiar voices to soothe my wounded soul. But in that moment, I couldn't bring myself to burden them with my troubles. I didn't want to worry them or tarnish their joy with my brokenness.

Anything But Porcelain

Anything But Porcelain

So they just listened and watched. “….oh my friends…my friends…forgive me..that I live and you are gone…there’s a grief that can’t be spoken…there’s a pain goes on and on…..phantom faces at the windows…phantom shadows on the floor….empty chairs at empty tables…where my friends will meet no more…oh my friends…my friends..don’t ask me….what your sacrifice was for….empty chairs at empty tables…where my friends will sing ….no more…” She ran her fingers along the table as she walked out of the room and back to the piano. It would take a while to get everyone together. Her heartache continued as she mind-linked Dylan

This book is by far one of the best books I have read on here. Many laughs and many, many tears. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a strong female lead along with supernatural entities. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Wonderful book though there are gruesome and painful torturous moments but the main lead is a brave, strong, kind hearted, positive and loving lady. Her positive outlook and disposition is commendable. Plenty of twist, hope, love lovely moments then psin real painful to read.. Hope for more lovely b

Could it be that he got fed up with me or he lost interest in me but there again if my own family left me why won't someone I met not long ago. Thinking of this I did not notice the droplets of water that flowed through my eyes . You never really know how much someone means to you until you loose that person . There is a pain within this heart, pain within my sadness through my eyes, My eyes are like a burden that you can see right through, No pain I ever felt was that single broken heart that, There is way out of this pain but somehow I can't see it , See the light , the hope ,the happiness I once wanted to feel , Now I ever feel is this sadness , this pain, this heartache, A pain within t

Nightmares

Nightmares

I was lonely Until you came A friend you were truly We played handball and some other games My joy knew no bounds Seeing you jumping at me, making barking sounds In the mall, On the lawn At bedtime when everything is quiet and still And in the street, on the floor, on the road, on the hill I fed you with food You fed me with company Our friendship was very smooth And I could not see between us any suffering You were my personal belonging You made my nights and mornings One morning came and you left You said goodbye but it hurt I knew it won't be fine anymore and I did fret But it seemed that was my lot You are my friend But you brought me pain It was not something you did intentionally send

The Sacrifice

The Sacrifice

Her grief, etched on her face, resonated with the profound sorrow that no parent should endure. Sandra, Sophia's childhood friend, spoke next. Her face, etched with the weight of shared memories, conveyed the depth of their connection. "We were like sisters, Larry. I miss her laughter and her dreams." Her words carried the echoes of a friendship that had weathered the storms of life, now grappling with the emptiness of Sophia's absence.

Yearning for My Friend's Dad

Yearning for My Friend's Dad

Needy screamed, pointing her finger at me like a gun. I swallowed hard and felt my tears burn even hotter. Needy stormed off and out of the room, screaming as she moved down the hall. I wanted to collapse on the floor. I couldn’t believe all of that had just happened. I couldn’t believe I had lost one of my best friends. I couldn’t think of anything that would fix it or get her to forgive me. “Well, that was intense,” my mother finally said with awkward laughter. She shoved her hands in her pockets and bounced on her eyes. Scott looked at her with a murderous expression.
