Captive To The Boss’s Lust
“While millions of stars dance above my head,
And war cries echo deep in my chest,
If you became a single tear on my cheek,
I’d turn into a shooting star,
Silencing guns and bringing hope to tomorrow.
‘Don’t go,’ pleads the soldier in my wounded heart.
Stay with me this time.
Don’t let me die, beautiful one—
Come to my heart at dawn…”
As I whispered my poem, stroking Amber’s hair, I prayed she’d understand just how lost I’d be without her. That she’d feel it in her bones.
“The sparks in my chest are turning to wildfire. Before I burn to ash and vanish into nothing, take my hand and put out the flames, my love. Don’t go. Please don’t leave me. If you walk away now, it’ll destroy me.”
