The stars shimmered high above, scattered like jewels across a velvet sky, but it was the moon that dominated the heavens that night—bright, round, and cloaked in a halo of soft silver. Serena stood quietly by the shore, her feet half-sunk in the cool sand, her long hair drifting in the sea breeze. The ocean whispered secrets only the tide could understand, and in that solitude, Serena tilted her head toward the moon.

The stars sparkle overhead like tiny diamonds scattered across the dark sky, giving everything an almost magical feel. The poem draws me in through Anara’s soft, rosy lips. But as I gazed into the moon and saw how dim it looked, I realised that my life would never have a new beginning. I was a little ball of lightness being sucked into a world of darkness and misery.

On a full moon, the stars seem to barely glow, but on a new moon, they take center stage reminding us that the darkness will end.
