EVERY BRIDE NEEDS SOMETHING "BLUE"

EVERY BRIDE NEEDS SOMETHING "BLUE"

Only a very light breeze was coming up off the water from the harbor below and the clear night sky was studded with grand, celestial sweeps of stars. Once away from the pub lights, she paused and simply stared upward. She’d always been awed by the night sky here. As a child, she’d often wished she could soar up and out to them, through them, to the galaxies hinted at beyond. She smiled, thinking that didn’t sound like such a bad idea now, either. “To infinity and beyond,” she murmured, and lifted a ginger ale toast to the cosmos.

The Darkside of the Moon

The Darkside of the Moon

The air smells of fresh smell of rain that recently subsided, that damp scent of rain-soaked earth rising like an ephemeral breath from the ground, a fleeting reminder of nature's recent kiss. For some, it feels as though the universe is bamboozling them, hiding its celestial panoply behind an opaque curtain. Yet, for others, there’s a serendipity in this dark sky, a chance to dial in to the deeper mysteries of the cosmos, to geek out over its expansive, silent secrets—to scheme, devise, and conspire under the shroud of darkness—this is when the most nefarious ambitions thrive. It is in the cloak of night that the malevolent find their strength, for the absence of light breeds opportunity, a

W I found myself entranced by the ethereal beauty that greeted my gaze. The night sky, wrapped in its velvety embrace, was adorned with countless twinkling stars that seemed to dance harmoniously in celestial synchrony. Each one shone with a brilliance that mesmerized me, their radiant light piercing through the vast expanse like a beacon of hope and wonder.

Craving My Mafia Obsession

Craving My Mafia Obsession

Sabrina’s POV Later That Night The sky is velvet. The kind of dark that isn’t empty, but endless painted with so many stars and lightning bugs. I’ve never seen so many stars, scattered like secrets waiting to be whispered. There’s no city glow to mute them out here. They shine so brightly it’s like the whole galaxy came closer just to bear witness. The lake is still now, barely rippling, a smooth pane of silver where the moon brushes its fingertips across the surface.

Moon Night

Moon Night

I looked up at the sky, seeing the white speaks of snow swirling and drifting in a freezing breeze. A bitter cold flack of snow landed on my nose. I barely notice as it melts and a small drop runs down my cheek. The dark grey clouds grumble and a flare of lightning flashes across the sky, making the clouds brighter and more pleasant then the dark glum darkness. I blink and see the wolves face, it's icy eyes penetrating as it watched me. I open my eyes again. Trees stood over me, the tops swaying in the bitter cold.

Asher

Asher

It's cloaked in darkness, but a mystical kind of darkness that lets me see the mountains after mountains capped in pristine white snow that glistened brilliantly under an oversized moon. What I notice most about this night, is it's hardly mortal. The darkness is a mixture of purple and royal blue, misting together with obsidian black to portray an exquisite canvas of colour. The stars that freckled the sky winked and glittered, adding to the splendour that I look up at. "Thanks for grabbing my chest, of all places," I say tartly, turning my gaze from the lights on the horizon, obviously making up either a small city or a large town.

Night-Blooming

Night-Blooming

Her voice trembled as she added, “It’s silly to be happy for such a small thing, isn’t it?” They stared at each other, and Ler found himself in danger of wanting to have her again pressed to his chest, so he looked away, and lifted his head towards the sky. “It’s not silly at all. Names are one of the few things we keep with us when we leave our life in the human world behind, how is it not a treasure?” Ayla felt comforted by his words, and also directed her gaze towards the sky. “There are few stars here.” Because the sky was always covered by clouds, it was red during the day, and especially dark during the night. Even the crescent moon was slowly hiding from their sight.

Before the night falls

Before the night falls

"So how about you, why do you love the night so much? Zyair then asked, but instead of an answer, he only watched her pretty smile fade away with sole confusion. She almost let her guard down from this friendly talk; she doesn't know what to say. What if she would say something that isn't known to this world? What if they suspect there's something unusual about her? What if the night sky here wasn't the same as hers? What if? Well, she wasn't able to look at the night sky yesterday, so she has no clue. Was there even or did they even discover;

Family Ties

Family Ties

I'd lain in bed with the lights off for hours last night, waiting for him to come home. There hadn't been any point in trying to close my swollen eyes, sleep wouldn't have taken over, anyhow. Not until I knew he was safe. While I stared at the ceiling, my eyes drifted out the window. It never ceased to amaze me that no matter how much turmoil took place on Earth, the moon and the stars didn't lose their luster. They shone just as bright, and they hung safely in the sky where they'd been for ages, unaffected by any raging storm below. If I could have found a way to reach one of them, I would have.

Wolves & Magic (Ambersky Pack Series Book 1-3)

“Sierra!” My claws dug into my flesh, trying to grab hold of something, anything, to stop myself from spinning. The harder I fought, the further I seemed to slip away. I couldn’t give up; Sierra needed me. I wouldn’t fail her. Using the last of my strength, I crawled to my feet and wobbled to the front of the packhouse. Midnight was approaching, and the night sky was magnificent, with a black-to-navy gradient backdrop. You could practically see every crater in the night sky. An ethereal radiance encircled the moon. A glowing yellowy white loomed enormously overhead, surrounded by millions of stars, some large and many microscopic.
