Blood and Moon

Blood and Moon

she confessed, still crying and shaking with fear, and I could feel she was telling the truth. "What can you tell us about the ash?" I asked her, and she bowed her head. "At first, it was meant to cover the atmosphere, but we later found it was feeding off the life of the earth and every living thing. Now they have released new ash that, if inhaled for too long, the victims will turn into those things. It is not only wolves that the Fire and Ash coven is killing, witches too," she said. I stepped away from her and left her crying and shaking on the floor. I looked at Desiree to see if she believed her. Desiree nodded that the girl was being sincere, and I pinched the bridge of my nose out of

A Veil of Ash and Glass

A Veil of Ash and Glass

“And the old magic recognized the anchor.” “Will the others understand?” “They will try,” it replied. “And they will fail.” Both creatures looked toward the faint, glowing outline of the lodge. “Prepare,” the Tikbalang said. “The next storm will not be hers. It will be theirs.” The rain made the Ashford border road slippery, but Noah didn’t stop. He gripped the steering wheel of his black Jeep Wrangler so hard his knuckles whitened, headlights cutting through sheets of water as he drove toward the lodge district they’d chosen for the retreat.

ASHES OF BROTHERHOOD

ASHES OF BROTHERHOOD

Ash’s POV The roar of the clubhouse hit me before I even turned off my engine. Laughter, shouts and the sound of bottles clinking rent the air and for a moment, I wonder how they could easily fall back into their normal lives less than twelve hours after an attack. It was chaos the way I remembered it, but somehow louder and more… non challant. Inside, the air was thick with smoke and sweat. A few brothers cheered when they saw me, others nodded, their eyes sharp, reading me like they weren’t sure what version of Ash had come back.

Ashes of a Vow

Ashes of a Vow

Moonlight spilled through the floor-to-ceiling windows, stretching across the marble floor. I knelt on the balcony, applying a special herbal balm to the skin beneath my ribs—to the scars left by silver weapons thirteen years ago. They still ached. The scars always ached under the full moon, a cruel reminder of a past I fought to forget. "You're still using that balm." I didn't turn around. Kaelen's footsteps were loud on the cold marble. "I thought you'd forgotten that pain," he said. The anger was gone from his voice, replaced by something I couldn't quite place.

Feral on the Ice

Feral on the Ice

The sky over the Needle City didn't just turn dark; it bled. The red text scrolling across the heavens—the Hotfix_01—wasn't just a visual threat. It was an atmospheric command. High in the ionosphere, the Architects’ remaining satellites began to vibrate at a frequency that turned the falling ash into a toxic, corrosive slurry. Then, the rain started. It wasn't water. It was a liquid chemical compound designed to "fix" the planet by dissolving organic matter and returning it to the soil as raw minerals. Each drop hit the glass dome of the Apex with a sickening hiss, eating through the protective layers like acid.

Ashes of Betrayal

Ashes of Betrayal

A sound came out of me that I did not recognize. "No!" My body moved before my mind did. I lunged for the urn. Too late. It hit the ground between us. The lid came off. The white ash that had been my father drifted out, light and weightless. It settled on the wet ground, mixing with the dirt. The world stopped. I sat where I had fallen. The white was the only thing I could see. That had been my father. That had been the man who tucked me in when I had a fever, the man who taught me to ride a bike on the road in front of our house, the man who looked at me and said I was the best thing in his life.

Brothers of Ash and Fire

Brothers of Ash and Fire

Justthere it was He pulled out a black case out and unzipped it. Two small syringes with gleaming green liquid were tucked in elastic straps. He removed them from the pouch. Without a word, he walked over to the bathroom sink. He depressed the plungers on the syringes and drained their contents. The third one in Moscow would be handled soon. There was bound to be more of this back at the Brotherhood labs, but he felt a small bit of relief destroying the immediate threat.

Ashes Between Us

What got her worried was the car that was closely following her. “Those pesky humans,” she thought, “ always looking for who to rob”, not me. She decided to mislead them, so she took another road flanked on both sides by the thick forests. “They'll think twice before following into this dense bush" she increased the speed of her car and drove into an opening in the forest that was now dark but she could still see. Which is one of the many advantages of being a shifter. She looked through her rearview mirror and saw that the car was still following her.

Ashes of Six

Ashes of Six

It was possession. Elias’s voice rose over the chaos, sharp with runes I’d never heard him speak before. His hands burned so bright the air warped around him, each sigil etched like a brand into the dark. Flames roared higher than the treetops, licking across the battlefield in jagged arcs that cut down mercenaries too slow to shield themselves. He wasn’t weaving illusions anymore. He wasn’t calculating costs. He was burning everything that stood between me and him, and if the whole forest went up in ash, I don’t think he would have cared.
