Adeline replied in a hoarse voice, gritting her teeth. Five slashes of the whip landed on her back, tearing open her already bleeding wounds a lot wider. Her ragged clothes had turned bloody red, as though it was its original color, and yet she couldn't feel the pain anymore. She had gone numb. "Do you know what happens to those who lie?" The man's shadow left her narrow periphery, but he later returned with another equipment in hand. Adeline could only vaguely make out what it was, and she knew it ought to be painful, but just as he raised his hand, the last string holding her consciousnes together finally snapped.

i say turning and heading for my office. Shoving the doors to my study open i walk in and see my beta lounging in the chair in front of my desk. A solider sitting in the chair next to him. However, Peggy got burned by the hot water in the cup and ended up splashing the water onto my arm. "Oh! It burns…" The hot water scalded Peggy's finger. Vernon hurriedly led her to the tap and placed her finger under the running water. As for me, I was dressed lightly. The hot water had soaked through my chiffon top, scalding my arm instantly. I went to the restroom to handle the burn on my own. Very quickly, red blisters began forming on my left wrist.

**NEUTRAL POV** The courtyard ran red. Bodies shifted in and out of fur—wolves in full transformation, claws flashing, teeth tearing, roars and growls blurring with human screams. The scent of iron and ash choked the air. Above them, the blood moon burned like a watching god. Asher moved like a storm through the wreckage of his home. He took down two of them in a single motion—black-furred wolves lunging from opposite ends. His claws ripped across a flank, his jaws crushed a throat. He didn’t recognize the faces until they shifted mid-collapse. Young. Too young.

I couldn't take it anymore, and I slapped Rosa on the face. Since I had to do a lot of work by myself in the mountains, I had gotten a lot stronger. So, her face was swollen in no time. When she saw Yoel from the corner of her eyes, she took the opportunity to fall to the ground. Her white dress was tainted by the mud immediately. Yoel had just returned from collecting water from the river. When he saw what happened, he anxiously threw the bucket to the side.

Asher was fighting ferociously and ruthlessly without mercy and their numbers were decreasing. The rogues backed away briefly gathering their strength while some shifted into their wolves. Asher snapped his head back to me inspecting me. The crimson-red glow of his eyes darkened dangerously as it took in the blood rushing from my arm and cuts all over my body. He growled again, shifted into his wolf, and lunged at the wolves that charged at him. He killed brutally, his claws leaving each of his victims in a horrid state.

It was an unnatural red, closer to a dark burgundy, almost like blood. Suddenly, a massive bolt of lightning crashed down from the heavens and struck Godslayer. Andrew slashed forward, crimson light surging like a river of blood as it crushed toward Guillermo. The latter's breath caught instantly, and sheer terror filled his eyes.

Ash’s eyes glowed as his wolf stepped up, his canines extended and his growl shook the walls of the house when he pulled the knife out of his side and he flung it at his cousin's hands. They all turned their heads and watched as the knife cut through the air and went clean through the chains that bound Jax's hands. Jax fell into a pool of his blood, his heart barely beating and his body weakened from the poison in his wounds. “What the fuck?” One of the vampires spat and tried to overrun Ash. Ash grabbed the vampire's arm and spared no time as he ripped his head clean of his body and through against one of the windows, shattering the glass.

The white Nodachi slipped from his fingers, dissolving into harmless digital ash before it even hit the obsidian floor. Dax twisted the blade, his amber eyes locked onto the flickering magenta optics of the warlord. "Game over," Dax whispered. He ripped the knife free. The Shogun of the Ashen Sky collapsed backward. The liquid-chrome armor lost its cohesion, rippling and dissolving into a pool of inert, heavy metal on the polished mirror floor. The glowing magenta optics dimmed, sparked, and died. The silence that followed was absolute. Dax stood over the puddle of chrome, his chest heaving, his Phase-Knife powering down with a soft hiss.
