AVA’s POV The night of Hunter’s challenge finally came. Me, Jared, Brock, and Syria all came along to be by his side. As we all entered the arena, everyone was screaming and cheering for Hunter’s name. It was fifty-fifty actually. But most are women, making my wolf growl lowly knowing how many women wanted our mate. I mean look at him. His toned muscles are visible as he is wearing nothing but boxers and shorts. Compared to his father who was wearing a massive armor in his body, Hunter is indeed a god.

I was about to pass through the door, but a familiar figure emerged ahead of me. I paused abruptly, panting. “You’re not going anywhere!” Old Devito hissed and pointed his gun between my eyes. I stepped back as he moved towards me. “Little bitch!” I glanced at his men behind me with their rifles who were ready to shoot me at any time. I’m dead today! I had no way to run but suddenly something happened….. BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! Gun thundered repeatedly, executing three men at one time. “Get down!” My eyes popped out when I heard a familiar voice. I snapped my head at Luther, who was still firing. Tears gathered in my eyes as I watched him with awe. My hero! “Get the fuck down!”

I feel pain on my left flank, and when I turn, I see a rogue wolf has sunk his teeth into it. A real pain in the ass, am I right? Now is not the time for jokes! I shout. Dakota swipes at the rogue on his flank, catching the rogue’s eye with his claw effectively removing it from its socket. The rogue let go of our flank, blood gushing from his now missing eye. The white tiger in front of us takes a swipe at us, catching Dakota’s side, slicing through fur, skin, and some muscle. We hear Conventina howl in pain, having felt the rogue tiger’s claws as clearly as we felt it since we completed the mate bond. The ground begins to shake, and Coventina’s howls turn into something beautiful…like a son

It was the aura of a Sacred Beast, and one at the peak! “This…” Ivor’s expression changed for the worst, and so did Waska’s. The Barbarian man immediately went into battle mode, pulling the long handled axe strapped to his back and deftly shifting the weapon to his dominant left hand. Once his weapon was held in his left hand, the aura of a Pseudo Phenom challenged the powerful presence which was approaching. Ivor immediately darted to the side without looking back. He was no match for the beast which was coming and he knew that.

The force sent her flying across the arena, crashing hard into the stone floor, skidding backward until she barely stopped at the edge. Gasps filled the air. “What the hell was that speed?!” “He just punched her once! That wasn’t even a technique!” Pavan stood tall. Steam hissed around his body like a roaring volcano. His crimson-red skin glistened with heat. His bare arms were marked with faint glowing lines like magma veins, pulsating with every heartbeat. His hair clung to his forehead, damp from sweat, yet somehow flowing slightly with the heatwaves surrounding him. His eyes—bright, burning embers—held no doubt.

It was amazing. “Hello!” Came a voice from behind him, making Rex flinch being caught by surprise. He was dressed in a white robe with a purple open chested shirt, showing broad shoulders and muscled physique. “Hello, I’m Rex Callis, Alpha of the Sakura Pack. I’m sorry to hear about your father. He was a great mentor of mine. How have you, your house, and Pack been doing?” Rex asked. “It’s been a rough transition, but I have an interesting crew behind me.” Tristan chuckled. Rex only nodded in response.

ALEXANDER My father and sister were both pretty fucked-up, but, damn, Blake was sick. Because we had to make do with what was available in the casino, which wasn’t much, Blake had a bunch of his warriors holding the members of the Bois Sombre Pack down while he tortured them. They were both fully naked after being forced into their human forms. Chef’s knives were brought in from the kitchen, and Blake tested each one of them out on the men’s torsos until he figured out which one was the sharpest, their ensuing screams widening his smile, his eyes gleaming.

I shook my head, biting my lip to keep quiet. He smirked, a wicked glint in his eyes, before returning his attention to my breasts. My hands roamed his back, feeling the play of muscles beneath his shirt. I tugged at the fabric, suddenly desperate to feel his skin against mine. He set me down gently, allowing me to pull his shirt over his head. I drank in the sight of him, all lean muscle and tanned skin. A scar curved along his ribs, and I traced it with my finger, wondering at its story.

I'm at peace with our decision but I hate seeing my friends suffer. "Damn you, take me!" I yell to the sky. Magic bursts behind me but I don't look back. Lightning strikes again and hits Ashrac. His body is tossed high and I have hope that the Goddess has taken our offer and will save him. His dragon explodes from his human body with a burst of light that's impossible to look at. "Ahhhh, hell," screams Sarn and the magic behind me bursts again. I dare to glance back. Sierra and Sarn are the most incredibly brilliant purple dragons. "What the hell," I mutter.

I stated humorlessly as I threw my leg across my knee and folded my arms the best that I could, showing him that he didn't really scare me all that much. "You know, sixty-five of those men had mates and thirty of them had pups. I find it hard to believe that you don't care about that." Jayson smiled. Damn. Give the man a medal. He actually managed to smile, though it disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. "I'm a rogue. I will kill without thought. I don't have the time to care and I certainly don't have the time to pretend I actually have a heart." I shrugged carelessly.
