Moon declared. “He’s not going anywhere but to my office.” The guy had a whiny tone now. “Nurse? Bring a sedative. He’s having a psychotic break.” Joy slid off the bed and her bare feet touched cold tile. A wave of dizziness hit, reminding her she still hadn’t eaten, but she wanted to get to Moon. She used the bed and then the wall to keep her balance to reach the door. She paused in the doorway, staring down the corridor.

"Back off! " Joy was woken by the sound of shouting from a girl far away. Baby was already awakened, stood up, stretched his limbs, opened his mouth and licked the tip of his nose with his tongue. He was gently patting her left hand with his claw. Then he jumped up and ran into the direction where the noise came from. Joy picked up her package on the ground and began to follow Baby’s footsteps immediately. Joy ran close to see that a huge vulture was constantly attacking a palm-sized dog in front of a camphor tree which was dozens of meters high, and a girl about her age was protecting the dog using her power shield against the vulture laboriously.

Luna immediately tried to interject, but before she could utter a word, Jake turned and slapped her hard across the face, sending her to the floor. Tears welled up in Luna’s eyes as she looked pitifully at Jake, but he paid her no attention. Instead, he crouched in front of the fetus that everyone else had retreated from, trembling as he wept. Suddenly, he seemed to remember something and looked up sharply at the nurse. "Where is Joy? I need to ask her what’s going on!" The nurse let out a cold laugh, her voice tinged with exasperation as she retorted, "No comment." Then, she turned and left.

Joy understood what the nurse wanted and she complied. When they were out of earshot of the others, the nurse introduced herself to Joy and explained to her that Della had fainted because she was extremely malnourished, to the point of almost losing her baby. Joy kind of just stood there with a dumb look on her face as the nurse continued to scold her. The nurse finally took a moment to notice Joy's present state and she asked her if she was alright. Joy simply shook her head yes. The nurse said, "good," and then she finished scolding her. When the nurse was finished, she simply walked away and left Joy standing alone in the hallway with the same stupid look on her face that she had started

They continued talking to her for a while, taking their time with her before the nurses were called. Joy's mum casted a glance at Logan who smiled tearfully. "She is happy, at-at peace." Those simple words from a boy less than half her age assured her as she bit the inside of her cheek hard to not cry. Logan and Joy's mum helped the nurses bathe Joy's thin body. All her scars and battles were visible to them, to remind them how strong a person could be. How she smiled childishly as if a sickness wasn't killing her. How she shared everyone's torment as if hers wasn't enough.
