I said and I laugh weakly when I heard him cursing on the other line. "It's fucking early in the morning, can't it wait till the sun rises?" Maclen complained but I just smirk at him even though he can't see me. "Are you kidding me? That's how you talk to your boss?" I asked him with an authoritative voice. "You're not my boss, not yet, Zuck," Maclen replied which made me frown. "I swear when I become the boss, I'm gonna kick your ass out of the mafia, or worst I'm gonna kill you, remember that, Maclen." I threatened him but instead of getting scared, Maclen just laughed at me which annoyed me big time.

Look after them for me always and you’re going to do great things.” He added as I nodded in reply.

“Dad, did you finally relax or were you answering emails again?” Alexander cleared his throat, his voice a touch rougher than usual. “I… helped Mia with some sunscreen earlier. Then made a few calls. Nothing too exciting.” Mia’s toes slid higher, pressing against his inner thigh now. She watched his face with innocent eyes while her foot continued its teasing exploration. “He was very thorough, actually. Made sure I didn’t miss any spots. His hands are really strong.” Lily grinned. “See? I told you Dad gives the best sunscreen applications. He used to do mine when I was little, remember? You give me a heart attack every damn day.” He caught my hand, pulling me against him with that smug grin. “And yet you love me.” I glared, though my lips twitched. “Unfortunately.” He leaned down, kissing me quick and rough. “Say thank you. Your man just built the first toddler Ferrari.” I laughed despite myself, swatting him. “You’re a menace.” He handed the baby to me, still grinning. “Correction: I’m the best dad ever. Admit it.”

He was giving me a fake smile and speaking through gritted teeth. “Mr. and Mrs. Matt and Adele Montgomery, you should have trained your son well.” I clicked my tongue at them, my heart calming down for the first time since I reached there. “I would make sure to get you a fair share of your punishment for being a bad parent.” The father's eyes widened, but he quickly regained his composure.
