Post Apocalyptic Hunter Novels & Stories

I don’t think I’m going to get any more tonight. The best thing to do is going to be to just leave this city. I know that. My pack is never going to stop hunting me. Except, where would I go? I know there’s a whole big world out there, but I don’t know where anything is, and I don’t know what any of it is like. It could be that every other remnant of a city is completely overrun by Moon Casters, or even by Ravagers. It could be that feral wolves dominate the land between here and the next city.

If you had to compare them, the people Hayley had met before were like lambs battered by the apocalypse. The ones standing in front of her now were wolves that had clawed their way to the top. Every single one of them carried the sharp edge of something wild. These were real apocalypse survivors, the kind that thrived in this world. Like Scott. "The girl's mine," Hayley said, getting straight to the point. She set two fifty-pound bags of rice on the ground.

My stomach dropped. "What?" He nodded. "I hired investigators to find you after you dared to run from me that morning. It took them a week to find you." Something was slamming hard against my rib cage in a really violent way. I knew what it was. My heart. "I found out who you were—Matteo Leone, a twenty three year old bisexual man, living in your father's house like a prisoner." He leaned forward slightly. "I learned everything about you—your urm... useless family, and your situation within hours of funding you."

His mind was blank for a second. Later on, he found himself licking her blood and slowly biting between the neck and the shoulder of the hunter. Little by little his teeth are pressing on her skin. But before he completely bite her, he was back to his sense. He was stunned for a few seconds. His hand starts trembling while looking at his face of Accalia. He wanted more, he wanted to bite her, and he wanted to mark the hunter. But when he remember the face of her mother, he feel guilty about what he was doing. Instead of biting the hunter, he bites his arm until fresh blood flows in it.

"You always choose the tragic ending." He plunges a blade into the Hunter's core. --- **The Hollowing** The courtroom shatters. We crash back into the tower, the Hunter convulsing as black veins spread from the wound. The Apostle watches, fascinated. "The Seed's fighting the infection. Will it purge him... or itself?" The thought of skinning the angel alive made me happier than it should. Finally we were mere miles from the base, Todd was going as fast as he could, the Nephilim had slowed thanks to our gunfire, and they probably did not care to chase us any longer. I had no idea how they communicated but it seemed as though as a whole group they had slowed, some even wheeling in the air to turn around. Why did Jonea hurt Aland that day? Although Aland did not admit that he was hurt because of Jonea. But I'm sure Jonea is involved. I could smell Jonea's body in Aland's spilled blood. "Looks like negotiation time is over." Everything happened at once. Kade's forces opened fire on the hunters. The hunters, unnaturally fast, closed the distance with terrifying speed. Hail shoved me behind him and loosed a bolt from his crossbow, catching the nearest hunter in the shoulder, a shot that should have been lethal but merely made the creature stumble. Lena fired precise shots from her position, each bullet finding its mark but doing minimal damage. The hunters didn't bleed like normal humans; instead, a thick, black substance oozed from their wounds.

He starts to head off to his room but I get in his line of sight and stop him first. “Kade! What the hell happened to you? Why are you so grumpy?” “Huh?” he asks, finally registering that it’s me in front of him. “Oh, sorry. Nothing happened, I’m not grumpy. Saw the rogue, but there was already a hunter on him and they took him down before he crossed over. That’s it, end of story,” he says shortly. “Really? And it was the same spot that the human was found at, right?”

And the first blood had been spilled. We were no longer merely survivors. We were the hunted. And I was the only one who could lead them through what was coming. The apocalypse wasn’t waiting. And neither would I.
