The National Academy of Science has successfully developed a cure for the zombie virus! The apocalypse is over, and we've won!" Deafening cheers thundered through the base. I stood on the wall and watched as the sun slowly rose over the horizon, while Mom and Dad stood beside me, looking healthy and spirited. Dad patted my shoulder and grinned. "Shall we have a feast tonight to celebrate?" Mom smiled and nodded. "This time, we don't need bulletproof glass. Let's open the windows and get some fresh air in."
