She opened the fridge, stared inside for a few seconds, then smiled when she saw the pizza box. “Thank God, I was about to cry,” she muttered. She pulled it out, opened it, and saw two big slices still inside. She didn’t even bother with a plate. She took one slice, shoved the box back into the fridge, and dropped the pizza into the microwave. She could kiss Tara for this leftover pizza right now.

Missing out on the secret conversation, Emily retrieved the bread slices and sauce jars. “We will be using these as pizza bases. First, you’ll spread either pasta or salsa sauces on them and coat them with mozzarella cheese. I pressed the button and spoke directly to the local security guard who I knew had a brother who ran a pizzeria in the village. "Paolo I need the largest pepperoni pizza your brother can make," I said into the speaker. "And I want extra garlic extra cheese and a bottle of soda that contains enough sugar to give a horse a heart attack. Tell the delivery guy to ignore the woman in the lab coat and bring it straight to the dining room."

Letta said, making Marco look at her with raised eyebrows. "Are you going to finish it yourself?" Marco asked again, making Letta shake her head. "Of course not. We'll finish it together, and don't forget to tell the waiter to put a lot of pineapple toppings," Letta said, making Marco widen his eyes. "Pineapple toppings?" Marco confirmed, making Letta nod her head. "Why? Does it sound strange?" Letta asked, making Marco nod. "Yes, I just found out that pizza can be topped with pineapple. Isn't it usually with sausage, cheese, broccoli, mushrooms?" Marco said, making Letta shake her head.
