Keep in mind that premonitions can happen in dreams, through touch, or when visiting new places. You will know you are having a premonition because it will violently take you out of what you are doing, feeling or thinking, and take you to an unknown place.” Hecate tells me. Artemis adds, “You must pay attention to everything around you. Mia must act as a recorder. This is extremely important, Emma. You must integrate yourself with her.”

It seemed like a murky aura like that augured misfortune, and from the looks of it, it was going to be a big one. We investigate crimes by our own, and decide if they are worthy enough to live. Most cases they are not. What’s so great about me is after having five other mates reject me, I had gained more gifts. One of them being able to know when someone is lying, or even hiding something. As you know I have healing, and sight. Apparently, we can see bits of the future. We now can sense when pup is in danger. Like we can see her when it is happening and know her location. We can enter people’s minds, and bring back memories they either forgot or are hiding.

“Scar? Why?” “I know what you know.” He smiled tightly. “An unfortunate side effect of seeing the future before it happens. That makes me Foresight, by the way. You are Strength, if you hadn’t already got that from our last conversation on the phone, and Scarlett here is Magic. I’ve known this from birth.” A funny expression crossed his face. “Another irksome side effect of seeing the future. Imagine knowing so much as a baby. Hah.” He didn’t laugh. “What the Hell–”

“A descendant of Selene?” I nodded. “That’s why I survived. My body is immune to poison. It’s…part of who I am. I also have the power of foresight. I get visions of the future, they're not direct but they always let me know what to expect, and point me in the right direction.” She was silent for a moment, then a smile slowly spread across her face. “I knew it,” she said, her voice filled with awe. “You’re not upset?” I asked, my voice trembling.

I looked to see Lucas kneeling beside me and Reed standing behind him both with very concerned looks on their faces. “I just found out one of the gifts I’m going to have.” “And what is that?” Reed asks. “Indigo called it a premonition power, but the visions that I will be able to have could be the future, the present or the past.” I look at the stove as I hear the pot boil over. Reed ran over and quickly pulled it off the burner. “Well you could have given me a warning that was going to happen,” Reed says with a chuckle.

I asked. He nodded. “We specialize in prophecy,” he explained. “Me for example can look into someone’s eyes and I can see glimpses of the past. Others can see glimpses of the future. Some can have full visions and prophecies.” “You can see glimpses of the past?” I breathed. “That’s a cool power.” He nodded. “It has its benefits. I always know when someone is lying,” he told me. “I can just look into their eyes and find out the truth.”

I lost track of time as my seemingly diminished energy seemed to come back to top-notch, with the hours passing instead And it seemed this war was uncovering new abilities I didn't have before. The other time it happened instinctively, the way you cover your eyes when you sneeze. A couple of feet away from me, someone was about to take up a gun to aim at me, but in milliseconds the moment I thought about appearing in front of him, like magic, I was there. He was surprised, his mouth dropping open but I recovered faster and attacked him. Or was it my super strength and ability to foresee someone's movements before they moved, giving me an edge?
