They have to mate with someone on a red moon night and if they do, they can’t break off the bond for their whole lifetime. The royal blood makes them immortal as well and gives them healing and killing abilities. -Ferals-

Each limb looks sculpted for violence. Its fur is slick, dark, and matted from blood and storm. Its breath steams in the cold air. Plumes spiral around its snout. Its eyes, blazing gold. My heart stops. God… I just fell into another creature’s war. All of them, beasts of the moon. Beasts of the night. Oh no!

Just an order. I stepped out, closed the door behind me, and shifted back into my beast form. Stone blurred beneath my paws as I tore through Blackreach, past its gates and straight for the edge of the Whispering Woods. By the time I reached Brammon and Rhydan, the forest line was already crawling with movement. Manticores came first. Dozens of them—their humanlike faces fixed in those eerie, empty expressions. Lion bodies, scorpion tails arched high, each one moving in perfect, unnatural formation.

She rose, her gaze fixed on the horizon where the city’s fires shimmered like a thousand crimson eyes. Below, Valenfort prepared for yet another war where humans, vampires, and everything in between would soon redefine what it meant to call something peace.

My mother, Keenan. I can't leave them, I must get back. So once again I push myself one last time and when the beast's head is close to mine, I lash out and bite just bellow his right ear. He whines from pain but still doesn't release me. He then turns his head up and howls and then soon later, six more wolves appear around us. I know that this fight is really over now. I won't escape the seven wolves, especially with my wounded legs. So I stop struggling. Now, my fight is over. But if not now, I will still find a way to get out.

The Beast. He was surprised to say the least, that Professor Ridley-Forrester was a young, Asian woman. She was about as intimidating as a butterfly. Had his brother been joking about her reputation?
