I replied, placing a hand instinctively on my stomach and gasped.
Lance was instantly at my side. “What’s wrong?”
“Look at my stomach,” I said, then pulled back the blanket. My stomach was protruding out from my hips in more than just a baby bump. I looked five months pregnant. I looked into Lance’s eyes, panicked. “Is this normal?”
Lance nodded. “Dhampir pregnancies go much quicker than normal pregnancies.”
“I’d say,” I said, running my hand across my hard stomach. “Well, if there was any doubt before, there’s definitely no doubt now. I’m glad that my appointment is tomorrow.”
