I said. Molly’s face lit up. “Oh my God, you’re living my dream right now.” “Yeah, well, your dream didn’t come with creepy messages from strangers,” I said. Her smile dropped right away. “…What?” I pulled out my phone and showed her the message. She read it once and looked up at me with worried eyes. “Okay,” she said, “that’s… not normal. Like, at all. That’s straight-up serial killer intro message.” “Great,” I muttered. “Love that for me.”

His hair dripped with water that flowed down his chest, and his eyes pierced into hers. Lillian swallowed hard. She was lost for words, and she couldn't take her eyes off Alex. On the other end of the call, Jessie lowered her phone and a smile left her face. She turned to Justin. “Your school bus is here,” she said and watched him leave. She opened her contacts and scrolled to a name that was saved for a single letter. She saved it deliberately, understanding that some things were safer. V She opened the message thread. The last exchange was a few hours ago. Then she began to type.

This is dangerous. I know. We should stop before someone gets hurt. I know. But we hadn't stopped. And now I don't know what happened next. I checked my phone. It was barely 7 AM, but I already had messages waiting. One from Serena: Girl! Those gala photos! You two looked SO in love! Call me! One from my mother: Much better. Keep it up. Your father is pleased. And one from a number I didn't recognize: Amelia, I saw the news. Are you okay? We need to talk. -Allen

Trigger Warning: Mentions of Suicide. Please read at your own risk Alice predicted that the other girls' predictions would be rather wild. She wasn't wrong. After she and Libby had finished explaining what had just happened on the Gym's Balcony, everybody looked shell-shocked. When Libby was explaining what happened to her, she also explained why she was acting strangely. She took out her phone and showed the girls the hate messages that she had been receiving. It was so horrifying, Alice had to stifle her gasps.

Some were from mom the rest was from Caleb. Then the messages from Caleb. I smiled as I read them. I was about to keep the phone when another message got me. It was from an unknown number, my hands trembled as I read the message. “Stay away from Xavier, he is not what he seems to be.”

V said sarcastically. Once again, she was right. Just then my phone beeped. Everyone turned towards me. "Is it them?" Z asked as she ran towards me. I pulled out the phone. It was a message from Raymond. Finally, a glimpse of hope. "What does it say?" Liana asked as she walked towards me. I opened the message. My eyes widened in shock. "What the f**k?" Z said. "What's that?" Liana asked before getting to where we were standing.

What she saw made her blood run cold. It was a message from an unknown number. The text was short and chilling: **“Nice kiss by the pool last night. Does Lily know her daddy is fucking her best friend? Delete this message and I send the clearer version to everyone. Be smart, little girl.”** Attached was a blurry but unmistakable photo.

Ellie said as she slid into the booth. Lena gave a tired laugh. “It’s been… complicated.” Ellie sipped her iced coffee, then leaned forward. “Talk to me. What happened?” Lena hesitated, then unlocked her phone and handed it to her friend. Ellie took one look at the photo and let out a low whistle. “Well, well, well. Is that the mysterious ‘woman from nowhere’?” “I don’t know who she is. Marcus sent it. No context. Just… that message.”

Mia asked, her eyebrows raised as if she couldn’t quite believe what I was suggesting. “No.” I said, shaking my head. “I don’t think, Mia. I’m convinced.” I paused for a moment, thinking back to the cryptic message I had received earlier that day. It had rattled me more than I was willing to admit, but I couldn’t ignore the fact that it felt like a warning. “Earlier today, he sent me a message. It said, ‘Lily, don’t think I have given up on you. Because I haven’t. I’m coming back for you.’ And he said he has eyes watching me everywhere.”
