THIRD PERSON'S POV:- Mira opened her eyes and found herself standing in front of the full view mirror. She was looking at herself. She looked very young. She looked almost sixteen or maybe seventeen. She was wearing a long mermaid style, off shoulder white dress. It was backless and the upper layer of the dress was shimmery. She had a crown on her head. A princess crown that had the long lace veil attached with it. She remembered that crown on her head. It was the crown Fredrick had gifted her on her twelfth birthday. He wanted to make her feel like a princess the day they would get married.

Everyone looked pitifully at Leonardo. Miranda had never been on good terms with Leonardo, but they were not enemies either. At this moment, she felt that she had seen enough. The gold digger had to be taught a lesson. She was sure Leonardo would discard the ring, so moving to pick it up, she chimed in lazily, “You have a cheap sapphire toy of 11 grand on your finger, yet, you think it’s worth more than a 6.5 million dollar custom-made diamond ring? How did you even go through medical school with that brain of yours?”

“What’s your price?” Miranda doesn’t answer immediately. She stares into her cup as if she’s reading my future in the tea leaves. “When the time is right,” she says quietly, “I’ll come for what I’m owed.” I raise a brow. “Cryptic.” “I prefer prepared,” she says with a sly smile.
