Beneath The Mask
My head snaps toward the estate, and my breath catches.
Prince is standing at the doorway, gun raised. His posture is tense, his grip steady, and even from here, I can see the rage burning in his eyes.
“He said leave,” one of the Capo says, his smirk making me want to break his fucking nose. “Or the next one goes to the head.”
I stare at Prince, waiting for him to lower the gun, waiting for something—anything—that tells me this isn’t real. That this is just his anger talking, not something he actually wants.
