"It's no worries, Darius," she said, her voice flat, cold, and entirely unbothered.
Before he could process the brush-off, she unlocked her car, ushered Leo and Maya into the back seat, and slammed the door shut.
"Cilla, wait—" Darius started, taking a step toward her driver's side window.
She didn't give him a second glance as the engine roared to life, and Priscilla slammed her foot on the gas, her tires kicking up gravel as she zoomed out of the parking lot, leaving Darius standing in the dust.
