It's rare that the Shadows get this kind of interaction with the council, they normally keep pretty much to themselves. A male wolf shifter named Shane who is considered our “general” if you’re comparing ranks to a human army, steps forward. He looks like a massive GI Joe come to life but he has a soft side once you get to know him. I note his witch mate Maya, who hardly ever comes to headquarters.

He leaned back in his seat. “Who are they?” I asked him. "It's the Alpha from the Lunar Shadows Pack," Phillip continued, his words fading into the background as my ears rang. A sudden sensation of dread washed over me, causing my face to pale and my body to tremble. The very pack that had taken away my parents was now making its way here. I would have no choice but to dance for them. “Are you okay? You look like you’re going to be sick. Oh, crap! Did you catch what Kai had?” Phillip stood from his desk worried.

He didn’t know how much longer Blaze would be able to keep his control. He took one last look around mainly at the empty alley still feeling like something was off. He didn’t know what it was but he will make sure he keep his guard up. He refuse to allow anything to happen to Charms. “Ok Bruin stay between me and Blaze.” Shadow said as he signaled for Blaze to start moving to the waiting SUV. They hadn’t gone more than a few feet. When they all felt a strange ripple in the air. All of a sudden the Werevamps began to shift again. All the warriors looked in confusion at what they were seeing. It wasn’t until they were completely shifted that they realize what they had become.

Working out six hours a day, every day, and working on an eight-hour shift every night, took it's toll on him very quickly. Ever since a colleague of his suggested enhancers to boost his energy, he was able to add more hours at the gym and more hours on his shifts, and could still hang out at bars afterward. Everyone else was using it, it was common for his line of work. They call it 'the helper', which leads to other kinds of helpers, for every different need. Even actors use them too.

“What the hell?” I smile weakly, not hiding my rage. “Retribution, assholes,” The ground bursts open and long thin vines race towards the panther shifters. They howl in fear and jump out of the way. I laugh angrily, as the vines change direction, almost as if they have a mind of their own and chase the shifters. “It’s her!” one of them shouts. “She’s controlling them!” “How?!” his companion hisses. “The dealer said—ugh!”

As she took a step forward, ready to fight, inducers were fired into her body to make her sleep. She turned her eyes toward her gang, trying to fight the sleep. Anger rose as she was about to lose control. Then another inducer pierced her body. She fell. Before she hit the ground, they pushed a floater toward her. Silence followed as her eyes closed, breaths controlled, bodies shaking with fear. Someone whispered, “She’s a psychopath. Don’t you know her nickname?” Another followed, “She’s called The Psycho Queen.” “Damn! Who’s gonna carry her now? Absolutely not me,” a bald man said. “That girl terrifies me. I can’t get over when she flipped me over. Even unconscious, she’s scary.”

They began to **change**. Their fur turned into green, crystalline needles. Their eyes turned into hollow voids of emerald light. They grew in size, their bodies twisting into grotesque, insectoid versions of themselves. They were no longer wolves; they were "Hive-Drones," bound to the will of the ship above. "They’re turning our own people against us," General Vance growled, reaching for her sidearm. "It’s not just the shifters," Marcus said, pointing at a second monitor.

Bellamy reasons. “The spell would be hard to maintain for more than a couple people. Unless there were multiple Witches, it’s unlikely that there were more than two attackers. It could be done if the second person was one of the more physically gifted races. A Shifter, Vampire, you know. Something strong and fast.” She adds. Bellamy’s brow furrows at the mention of Shifters. He doesn’t want to believe a Shifter would do something like this, not even one of the non-feline Shifters. But as much as he wants to believe the best, the Shifters are still people. There are good ones and bad ones and a Shifter is just as likely to be a psycho killer as a Witch, Human, or any other person.

As do the shifters. "It Activated the Marrow in every shifter on the planet. They aren't just hearing the moon anymore. They’re hearing You." I closed my eyes and let the Moon-Apex Vision expand. It was a sensory overload of "Authentic Noise." In the high-rises of the Southern Metros, thousands of "Optimized" office workers were dropping their tablets, their white-silk suits tearing as their suppressed wolf-instincts surged back with the force of a tidal wave. In the Eastern Labor-Camps, the "Harvested" shifters were breaking their silver collars, their eyes igniting with a violet-gold fire that the Council’s witches had tried to extinguish for centuries.
