The Mafia King's Scarred Posession

The Mafia King's Scarred Posession

“Why… am I in your bedroom?” My voice dropped into a whisper. He breathed out a laugh, the sound carrying a dangerously dark allure. He sat on the bed, and I hurriedly curled up my legs, desperate to gain more distance. He saw the movement, and his lips curled up. “You don't remember anything from last night, do you?” “L-last night?” I stuttered, crawling back against the headboard. “I bought you.” My body shuddered. I slowly lifted my head, facing him. “What… do you mean?” A smirk appeared. “You were a pretty item on the auction, and now you're mine.” *** After years of cruelty and abuse, I finally escaped from the one who hurt me, but my freedom was more fragile than I thought. I had run away from brutal prison only to be sold at the auction and locked up in a golden cage. My new owner was Grey Maledetti, the wealthiest and most feared man in New York. I thought I could escape him, but he wouldn't free me from his grasp. The more I tried to resist, the harder I was drawn toward him. He was dangerous. He was possessive. He was intoxicating. I breathed him in like a drug, slowly becoming an addict. I thought he would destroy me; instead, he mended what was broken. He embraced my every weakness and lent me his deadly strength. Grey Maledetti is no knight in shining armor. He is the King of Hell, and now his blade is pointed at those who hurt me…

This book has a great story line. Lots of mystery to keep your interest and twist and turns to make you read more. I love the main character strong female personality even though indecisive at times. There are errors and the transitions could be better but a good read overall. You will get better!

Worth reading. Has enough action to not be boring nor overwhelming. Great plot twists. FYI: several reviews mention some problems with language/syntax. An author’s note said it costs money to go back and edit. Look, MY English ain’t perfect, but I can understand enough of the story to enjoy it.

FORCED TO BE A MAFIA QUEEN

FORCED TO BE A MAFIA QUEEN

The room pulsed with heat as their bodies tangled in a mess of sheets and grudges, with their mouths meeting like clashing swords. “You kiss like you're trying to win,” she hissed against his lips as her nails dug into his shoulders. “Always turning intimacy into a competition.” He let out a low and cruel laugh, his hot breath grazing her neck. “Better than your usual performance. All drama, no delivery. You moan like you're auditioning for a role you'll never land.” She pushed him down on the bed and her blazing eyes locked on his. He grunted as her naked body pressed against his nudity. “Says the man who thinks grunting is seductive. You sound like a dying engine,” she whispered in his ear with a smirk. The corner of his lips slowly lifted. She gasped when his hands travelled down her hips and reached her ass. “And yet you keep coming back for the ride.” ***** When Alessandro Montrego demands a bride to settle a long-standing debt, the plan is simple: get married to the docile and sweet twin sister. But before the wedding, she vanishes into thin air. To fill the position, Sierra, a fiery and sharp-tongued twin, is forced to take her place. Sierra and Alessandro clash like fire and ice as they thrust into a world of power, secrets, and simmering tension. However, beneath the bickering lies a slow-burning passion that neither of them expected. The blade of fate sharpens as love blossoms in the shadow of duty. Loyalty is put to the test, secrets are revealed, and love may cost more than either of them can bear. Because in a world built on debts and deals, not every love story is meant to end happily ever after. Will their fate be changed?

You Left Me for Your Secretary, so Why Are You Begging at My Wedding?

After eight years of love, Liz Smith went from being the woman Zac Lincoln once saw as the love he could never forget, to someone he couldn’t wait to get rid of. She had spent three years trying to hold on, giving everything she had. But once her last bit of affection ran dry, she finally gave up and walked away. On the day they broke up, Zac sneered coldly and said, “Liz, I’ll be waiting for you to come crawling back, begging me to take you back.” But what came instead wasn’t a plea—it was news that she was getting married. Furious, he called her. “Are you done with your little game?” A deep male voice answered from the other end. “Mr. Lincoln, my fiancée is in the shower. She can’t come to the phone right now.” Zac let out a bitter laugh and hung up. He convinced himself it was just another one of Liz’s tricks—playing hard to get. It wasn’t until her wedding day, when he saw her in a white gown, holding a bouquet, walking down the aisle toward another man, that reality finally hit him. Liz had truly let him go. Like a madman, he pushed through the crowd and rushed to her. “Liz, I know I was wrong. Please don’t marry someone else. Seven Days to Say Goodbye

Seven Days to Say Goodbye

I was three months pregnant when the car crash happened. In those final moments of fading consciousness, I frantically dialed Damian’s private, encrypted line—the one meant only for emergencies. He never picked up. By the time I was rushed into surgery, I received a crushing blow: Damian had forcibly reassigned my lead private physician to the South District. He needed the best doctor to treat his childhood sweetheart, Evelyn, who had just been widowed. When I finally drifted awake through a haze of agony, my trembling fingers swiped open Instagram. I saw Evelyn’s latest post: “I knew that no matter the distance or the time, Damian would move heaven and earth to reach me. He even brought his Chief Physician just to help me heal from my grief.” In the accompanying photo, Damian—a man known for his cold, lethal eyes—was gazing at the woman beside him with a tenderness I hadn't seen in years. While I was clawing my way back from the brink of death, fighting to save our child, my husband was playing protector to another pregnant woman. A hollow, self-deprecating laugh escaped my lips. Without a second thought, I slid the wedding band off my ring finger. I opened my inbox and hit "Confirm" on the invitation from the world’s most elite International Finance Institute. If Evelyn is all he cares about, I’ll give them my blessing. In seven days, I will vanish from his world forever—and I’m taking my baby with me.

When Stars Fade

When Stars Fade

After being pushed down the stairs by my husband's first love, I suffered a difficult labor with our second child and died in a corner of their family's private hospital. Before I died, my six-year-old son cried and begged for his father to save me. The first time, Shawn sneered. "Your mom's gotten smarter, using you to play the victim and trick people." After that, he flung my son's hand away and left heartlessly. The second time, my son told him I was bleeding uncontrollably. Shawn was clearly impatient. "She's being so dramatic, it's just a miscarriage, nothing serious. She's always made mountains out of molehills!" After chasing my son away, he even told the doctors not to care for me. "It's my fault for spoiling her. She'll know what she did wrong once I let her have a hard time for a few days." The last time, my son went to my husband's first love Jasmine, kneeling in front of her and knocking his head on the ground, begging her. Shawn flew into a rage and ordered bodyguards to throw my battered and bruised son out of the hospital room, allowing others to laugh at his misfortune. "If you come bother Jasmine while she's resting again, I'll kick your mom out of our family! She'll never see you again!" My son crawled to my side, leaving behind a long trail of blood. And so, I laid there helplessly as I felt the warmth escape both my son and I. 'Are you happy now, Shawn? You'll never see us again.'

He Ruined My Wedding Dress, I Ruined His Perfect Life

He Ruined My Wedding Dress, I Ruined His Perfect Life

The day before the wedding, I go to the bridal shop to pick up my custom wedding dress. The clerk informs me apologetically, "I'm sorry, Ms. Stone. Yesterday, a woman called Ms. Lovelett came and picked up your dress." My best friend, Sherry Lancelot, suddenly remembers something. "Isn't that the surname of your fiance's secretary? He's so thoughtful. He had your dress picked up in advance for you." But in the next second, Mary Lovelett posts a social media update. In her photo, she is wearing my one-of-a-kind custom wedding dress that is worth hundreds of millions and posing coquettishly in front of the camera. The caption reads, "Zachary is the best boss in the world. I casually said I wanted to take some portraits. He generously bought me a globally limited outfit for a photoshoot so that I can take the photos to my heart's desire!" I look at the post and reply coldly, "That's the wedding dress I personally chose for myself. Since when did it become your photoshoot outfit?" The post is deleted instantly. My fiance, Zachary Everdon, calls me angrily. "What nonsense comment was that? I just lent your stupid dress to Mary for a bit. It's a cheap, one-time thing anyway. I can buy you a dozen more to make up for it." I let out a cold laugh and record the call. Then, I send him a screenshot of the 200 million dollars purchase record. I say, "Sure. Will you pay by check or by direct transfer? Hurry up. Once you pay, we're calling off the engagement."

Ready? I Came Back for You!

Ready? I Came Back for You!

Before my parents died, they arranged for me to marry Alan Palmer, the powerful but impotent overlord of Northingdale. The day I received the engagement letter, strange floating messages appeared before my eyes. [Don't marry him. He can't have kids, and he's violent!] [If you go through with this, that freak will torture you to death. Run!] [Your childhood sweetheart is your true love. Run away with him!] My childhood sweetheart, Leon Wade, grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes with what seemed like deep affection. "Tiffany, let's run away together. Have your maid take your place and marry Alan. She knows you well. No one will notice." Fooled by the so-called love in his eyes and those floating messages, I chose to go with him in my past life. I could only watch as the maid stole my identity as the heiress of the Glissons, gave Alan a son, and walked away with hundreds of millions of dollars in fortune. In the end, Leon held her in his arms. He tied a huge stone to me, kicked me into the ocean, and said smugly, "From now on, she's Tiffany. As for you, rot at the bottom of the sea forever!" I watched as sharks slowly tore into my body, pain ripping through every inch of me, until only my bones sank into the dark water. After being reborn, I finally understood that those floating messages were fake. They were carefully planted traps designed by Leon. Now, facing him and his pleas for me to run away, I let out a cold laugh and ignored the floating messages. "I'm not some helpless maiden. I'm marrying Alan."
