“What did she say?” Phoebe gasps, clutching her stomach as she giggles.
“She asked if I was an extra from a low-budget mafia parody,” Julian mumbles into his glass, looking genuinely wounded.
“I told you,” Ron says, shaking his head with a grin that he’s trying and failing to hide.
“The warning was documented and ignored,” I point out, helpfully.
“You’re all terrible people,” Julian declares, though he’s starting to crack a smile too. “Vultures. I’m finding a new syndicate. One that appreciates my 'confused gondolier' aesthetic.”
