The Run

The Run

Just another two hours on this road and I would reach the destination where The Run would take place. The Run has been around since the original pack was created. The first Alpha king and leader of all wolves around the world created this event when she wolves were created and in limited supplies to the population of werewolves. The species needed to survive and the strongest genes needed to be passed down, hence The Run and the claiming of a mate. After the success of the first run the tradition carried down. Something about taking a female by force seemed like the ultimate manly thing to do and during those time periods where the male had to be strong and their offspring stronger to surviv

Forbidden Desires: A Tale of Love and Temptation

Forbidden Desires: A Tale of Love and Temptation

It leads to the backyard, and when I get there Lucas and Theo are sitting at the table, each with a margarita. “What did Camille send!?” Lucas asks the second he sees what’s in my hands. “Pumpkin snickerdoodles.” “In May!?” Lucas’ eyes widen. “That’s what I said. Apparently, it’s because we graduated.” “Give it up,” Lucas says holding his hands out. “Keep them away from me,” Theo says. “Every time your mom sends a batch of something, I end up five pounds heavier.” “Who said I was sharing?” Lucas jokes as he lifts the plastic. “Margaritas and pumpkin cookies, we’re kind of mixing vibes here.” “Who cares?” Lucas says through a mouthful.

Chase Run

Chase Run

She was running and running along the path laid out not knowing where she was going. Eloisa ran all the way to the hospital from the pub, which was almost on the other end of the village. As soon as she heard the news, she closed the pub and ran all the way to the hospital. When she reached her mother's room, she saw her sleep and nurse fixing her saline tube. Eloisa entered the room and the nurse looked up at her. The room smelt so stale and filled with medicinal smell that it made her almost choke. She had never really liked hospitals anyway. She came to the hospital only three times including today. Not once she felt comfortable here. Hospitals always smell of stale and death to her. The

Run to Ground

Run to Ground

Pushing me down the route it wants me to take. Jim was panting and his lungs were beginning to burn. He wasn’t in the best shape and the running was taking its toll. Halfway down the new path he saw the grave. He recognised it instantly. The gravestone was unique; Jim knew every inch of it intimately. The moment he saw it he knew why the thing in the ground had guided him here.

A Naughty Christmas Affair: Fake Dating My Ex Brothers

A Naughty Christmas Affair: Fake Dating My Ex Brothers

“Are you heading out?” “No? I came looking for you.” “I need to do another tray of these cookies,” she says. “I’m almost out up front, and they’re a popular seller.” “Cookies,” I say, pinning her with a look. “Cookies,” she replies. “Cranberry macadamia nut with white chocolate. You can try one when they come out of the oven if you want.” Autumn makes a show of evenly spacing each scoop of cookie dough, giving it all her focus like it’s the most important thing she’s ever done. She’s obviously trying to pretend everything is fine, acting cheerful and light, but she still won’t look at me.

The PUMPKIN LETTER

The PUMPKIN LETTER

I found the first pumpkin just as the last colors of evening were sinking into the garden. It lay beneath the garden bench—a little orange globe small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. The remnant of its vine curled like a cat’s tail. When I picked it up, I noticed words carved into its skin. A poem, etched with a slender blade. > Though the light is small, > it can still show the way. The carved letters were somewhat angular, but perfectly legible. The grooves were fresh, and when I ran a finger over them, I thought I could still feel the raw dampness of the pumpkin beneath its skin.

The Vicious and Vengeful

The Vicious and Vengeful

Within a span of fifteen minutes, he quickly but elegantly finished everything except the pumpkin cakes. Meanwhile, the dishes were taken away from him. He ordered another pot of iced tea; he started on his second pumpkin cake when the fresh new pot was placed in front of him, placed down his cake on the plate, and poured out the iced tea onto his cup again, placing the pot on the table, he lifted the cup towards his mouth, as the cup was lifted there was a sudden silence before there was a sudden loud whip-like Bang! and the sound of Porcelain smashing into pieces

Devil’s Saints: Taz

Devil’s Saints: Taz

The message he received back invited him and the girls over after trick and treating. With bags full of candy and treats, they parked in the driveway to their house and walked across the street. Pumpkins and decorations lined the street. Even their own house had seven jack-o-lanterns on the porch. Cookie had brought them home with Gertie and told Pagan that he needed to call Shiloh. When Karan got home with the girls, they had a pumpkin carving party. After dinner and smores, Shiloh walked across the street, but Pagan never saw Cookie take Gertie back to the hotel.

Lullaby (Fable Saga Book 2)

Lullaby (Fable Saga Book 2)

“Get it right, and you get your punch.” I take a second to work it out. “Eleven,” I say, and Miss Turner’s grin is so sweet that I have to forgive her for the lame teacherish behavior. “That was too easy,” she says. “Right, something harder for you Grace. I’m the most American dessert there is. First word: I’m in your punch, second word, I’m 3.141592653…” “Pie,” Grace says. “Apple pie.” “Got it,” she says, beaming. “Run along now, before I tell you more corny math jokes.”

You Can Run But...

You Can Run But...

Zayne sank his hand into his pocket, for his fists were beginning to have a mind of their own. "Technical stuff," Damon smiled, "you know sometimes someone with a higher thinking ability is needed for stuff like running the manor." "Shut the fuck up," Zayne murmured. "Oh, Coz, you said something?" "No, I didn't," Zayne murmured again. "He says you shouldn't worry too much; once he's done with me, I'll be back in one piece." Zayne turned, his jaw clenching. One more lie that had his name in it, and he'd be sending Aunt Maria a video of her son's pulpy face.

Kathryn
Too much of a spoiler to ask? Do they share her? I’m okay with dark romance & all, but I don’t like when brothers love the same girl & they frequently have threesomes. I’d prefer Derimen never be intimate but it’s the frequency that will ruin it for me. I’d rather not invest if this is the plot.
Teneisha Frazier
I love both books. patiently waiting for the 3rd to find out what happens when Zayne catches Axel. what happens with Nico and if he ever leaves Alexa. Milo and his crazy wife. The future of Damon and Amara. so many things left open. I can see it all in my mind now. Amazing work Author Ava.
