Alpha King

Alpha King

My voice filled the throne room, echoing through the empty wall back to me as I laid lazily on the throne. My throne. "So when does the plan commends?" I felt the darkness in me switch and the smell of the seven deadly sin fill every edge of the room. Wrath Lust Pride Envy Greed Sloth Gluttony "Erasmus" At the mention of his name, he appeared like fog, looking like the darkness and wearing his crooked smile. As always his two partners flock his side. The lord of the seven deadly sins and his demoness, he takes no pleasure other than his kind.

But Callie was part-human and weaker than even the youngest of minor demons. "What are you going to do to me?" she asked. "You sent Edmund Dubois to Hell. He’s probably dead by now," he replied. “"That’s effectively murder. Do you know the punishment for that in the magical world?" In Hell, it could range anywhere from a century of imprisonment to execution. Demons liked public executions. Lilith had been the hand of retribution and they would cheer as the demon was beheaded or ripped to shreds. It depended on Lilith’s moods how brutal the death would be.

Grim Reaper's Bride

Grim Reaper's Bride

“Judgment? Where's the brimstone? The rivers of lava?” “That's only reserved for the brats.” “Er, right. So how long does judgment take?” He grinned softly “It depends on the severity of your sins. The heavier the case, the longer the review. We want to be sure, beyond a doubt, that the ruling is correct.” “Is everyone punished?” “Only those with egregious sins.” We entered a smoky corridor filled with ornate doors. I wondered at the mythical beasts and foliage carved into the wood. “I am the Angel of Severity. I hold dominion over those whose veins run black with evil.”

A god Named Sin

A god Named Sin

Maddison slowly retraced her steps and went to their table, "Yes, Sister Georgina." Georgina eyed her, "What was that act in the place of God?" Maddison looked down, playing with her fingers, "I'm sorry Sister Georgina but I don't know what you're talking about." "Lying is a sin and you've committed two sins in a day, only Lord knows how much you've sinned, I don't want to report you." "Please do not report me, Sister Georgina, I'll go and confess my sins right away, and beg God for forgiveness," Maddison begged.

Sinful Thoughts

Sinful Thoughts

Maybe I was too nice. “You know who I am, don’t you?” he asked, fingers still furiously pumping into me. He sucked my bottom lip into his mouth and let it go with a pop. “Yes,” I breathed, my legs starting to shake in pleasure. “Say my name.” “I can’t,” I whispered. I had never spoken it a day in my life. Saying his name was forbidden in my pack. People were punished for it … because everyone thought that speaking the devil alpha’s name would summon him.

Sanctified Sin

Sanctified Sin

She let the betrayal coat her like ash. And then she got up. Washed her face. Put on his favorite sundress. And went to church. Because it was Thursday. Because the quarterly audit was in six days. Because if she was going to burn the whole damn thing down, she needed to know what kind of kindling it was made of first. The sanctuary still smelled like guilt. Even after the candles were snuffed out and the choir robes were pressed and packed away, it lingered—in the carpet, in the wood, in her throat. The smell of devotion gone sour. Of secrets soaked into the upholstery. Of her own obedience rotting in real time.

Her Unloved Mate

Her Unloved Mate

"Paschar had committed a grave sin by killing an innocent child. Azazel had done many wrong deeds in his life but never ever killed any innocent intentionally. That's why Paschar's sin was unforgivable." . "But if you do so then you would be breaking the treaty between the devils and angel and that means WAR.", She said, trying to act strong. "I agree but there is one more way to punish him rather than destroying his soul and also by that way you could save the treaty as well.", She said. I could see the determination in her to save Paschar at any cost. It didn't look like she was going to give up. Well, I was not here to take interest in Paschar's punishment. All I had to talk about was my

Rain Cloud
this book was really good. it had a story line and made you cry as well as happy, leaving you wanting more and eager to start the next book about them. I hope in the next book I won't get as teary eyed waiting for their happiness. I can't wait to see them find each other again.

It was a little rough for me at the beginning and I almost stopped reading it, just because he couldn’t get past Crystal’s status and I felt he wanted to change her to better suit him. But then Azazel came into the pic & he ended up being my fave character. Great ending and I did enjoy the book

She wiped my tears and gave me a tender smile, “I have seen the way he looks at you, I know he’s into you… trust me, you can revenge on him by making him believe that you can fall in love with him too,” "B...But, I can't... I can't love a man who kills, rapes, sins without acknowledging, I can't ever love him," I hiccupped again, my chest blocked with anxiety. If he could kill anyone, he would kill me too, as easily as blowing the dust away from the tip of his fingers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ever since I stumbled upon Dante's 'Inferno,' I've been fascinated by how medieval literature conceptualizes divine justice. The punishments for the seven deadly sins aren't just arbitrary torture—they're poetic reflections of the sins themselves. Lust gets swept up in eternal storms, mirroring the chaos of uncontrolled desire. Gluttony is forced to wallow in filth, a visceral contrast to their indulgence. Pride? Crushed under stones, literally weighed down by their own ego. Dante and other theologians designed these as karmic mirrors, not just scare tactics.

What's wild is how these themes still pop up in modern media. The anime 'Fullmetal Alchemist' echoes this with its equivalent exchange principle—transgressions demand proportional suffering. It makes me wonder if we've internalized these metaphors; even today, we talk about 'toxic relationships' draining someone like a vampire or greed 'eating away' at people. The punishments stick because they feel psychologically true, not just medieval.
