Soon after, the blood in the water began to swirl mysteriously, flowing upwards until it reached the water streaming from the moon goddess’s lips. My eyes grew wide as I watched the strange phenomenon of the blood suspended in the water My ears twitched at a sharp intake of breath from behind but I paid no mind as I watched the blood now shifting between two colors, red and blue. What is happening? I wondered, witnessing the strange mix of blood glowing and shifting between two colors. I curiously glanced to my side and found the Alpha King not appearing as shocked as I was. It seemed this was what he meant by the ancient oracle checking for the mate bond between us.

All of a sudden I feel Creed's strong hand grab onto mine, I whip my head in his direction and see that he looks unbothered, calm, happy? “It’s okay, this is normal,” he says with a smile. “Normal?” I asked unsure. He chuckles and nods his head, “it’s exactly what happened at my father and mothers ceremonies, the colours of their dragons emerged in smoke tangling and merging together, like ours are doing right now,” he says while pointing in the direction of the bowl filled with our blood. I look over and sure enough our colours are blending together, making it almost midnight black but you can see the purple shining in there still.

After an hour, the Pack healer reported to my office. "Well, what did you find?" I asked the moment she walked in. I'd asked her to run an examination on Hazel as I felt there's something she's not telling me. "Lycan, I'm afraid b-but," she paused and said, "Hazel's blood has suddenly changed color.
