A Billionaire's Bargain
There should be no excuse for almost cheating on my wife.
Pulling into the driveway, I cut the engine and sat for a moment, staring at the darkened windows of the house. My briefcase sat in the back seat, untouched since I left the office. Beside it was a bouquet of lilies, lavender, and soft pink roses, Freya’s favorite. I had picked them up in an effort to bridge the widening gap between us.
“Tonight,” I muttered under my breath. “Tonight, we will talk.”
I grabbed the flowers and headed inside. The staff greeted me politely, their smiles strained. They knew. Everyone knew. They can see my marriage falling. The tension in the house can sometimes be Intense.
