Steamy Dreams
I had a full head of thick hair, very little gray, maybe even less than Nancy had, and I was still fit with very good skin -- no excessive wrinkles.
We ordered appetizers and our entrees, along with a glass of wine for each of us. And we began to chat.
"Nancy," I started, "What would make your life easier on a daily basis?"
She laughed, "That's easy. I need a partner -- a man -- around to share the burdens and for companionship."
I nodded and stayed silent, wanting her to keep talking.
She continued, "I mean, I'm not lonely per se; I have my kids around and I love them. They mean the world to me. But sleeping alone is no damn fun, you know?"
