Adrian stood there—his eyes blazing with fury, his jaw set tight, his body tense like a coiled spring.
“Adrian…?” Deviana stammered, hastily rising to her feet. “What are you doing here?”
Adrian stepped forward, his gaze fixed sharply on Raka. “That’s what I should be asking. Who is he?”
Raka met his stare calmly, though tension flickered in his face. “I’m Raka. An old friend of Deviana’s. And you must be… her husband?”
Adrian advanced, his voice low and sharp. “Her husband. Yes. And I don’t like seeing my wife sitting so cozily with another man.”
