Valentine hummed to himself as he poured himself a wine and I watched him. I then realize the most terrifying truth of all, Valentine was the weed that needs to be taken out or the whole land will be infected with it.
Valentine didn’t leave right away, especially when he was enjoying himself.
He lingered near the doorway, his fingers brushing the wall. Suddenly, he laughed, quiet at first, then a little louder, like a mad man.
“Do you know,” he said, tilting his head, “how easy it is to make people believe the wrong story?”
