-Tyler I chuckled a little, figuring it was brotherly humor more than an actual malicious insult. "Sorry," Ryder apologized again as he came up behind me, reading the note over my shoulder. I handed it over to him, "He left a message for you too," I explained with a giggle. "I know, I saw it already," he complained with a groan. "You should probably call him... He's been waiting long enough." My fingers brushed over the delicate purple blooms. I'd received a rose or two for Valentine's Day in the past. Nothing major. Nothing breathtaking. Nothing like this. I buried my face into the blossoms, inhaling the floral scent and basking in it. It was incredible.

The doctor looked visibly startled when he saw me in the hospital room. Not long ago, I had come to him for a prenatal checkup and asked how to ensure my baby's health. "I'm sorry. Unfortunately, the child couldn't be saved," he said, his voice tinged with pity and sympathy. "Should we inform the father? Strange, it's Valentine's Day, and he's not here with you. Was there something urgent?" Oddly, I felt nothing. Just an eerie calm.

He had been ridiculously nice about it. “Yeah… that was me,” I said, feeling strangely flustered. “Sorry again about your shirt.” He chuckled, stepping closer. “No problem at all. I’m Raffaele Rossi, Valentina’s younger brother. Nice to officially meet you.” Raffaele. The name sounded dangerous in the best way. I had never felt this kind of instant pull toward a guy before. My stomach did a weird flip as his eyes lingered on me a second too long.

I looked up at Taylor, my nails digging so deep into my palms that they nearly broke the skin. Ethan let out an impatient sigh. “It’s late. Why aren’t you staying home where you belong? What are you doing here? “And now you’ve ruined the mood, stirring up trouble for no reason!” Tears slipped silently down my cheeks. Not only had he forgotten about our Valentine’s Day, but the promises he once made—to cherish me for a lifetime, to always treat me well—had also crumbled into nothing.

Friday would be Valentine's Day. Jane spent the rest of the week dreading its arrival. In elementary school, Valentine's Day had been no big deal. Everybody gave valentines to everybody else because all the mothers made sure they did. There was a party at school, with pink-frosted cupcakes and red punch. Jane threw away her valentines as soon as she got home, first taking off any candy that was glued to them. Then she ate the candy. End of Valentine's Day.

Without thinking, I took my phone and was about to text Kyle when the screen flashed with Alice’s babysitter’s name. I picked it up and asked, “Hi, is everything okay?” “Hi, Anna. She was a professional babysitter who often took care of Alice when Jem was busy. “Alice told me she knows him from Aaron’s wedding, so I asked him to sit inside, but he said he’ll wait for you.”

After walking for a long time, he opened the door and showed me a guy strapped to a chair. Valentine grabbed his hair and pulled it from backwards and said, "Take a look at him. Do you believe now that he's not dead." After seeing his face, i got confused with what Raphael said to me. If the guy was still alive, then why did Raphael showed me some deceased guy's picture and said that it's him. Did Raphael lied to me?

Jamie groaned, picking up a pillow and burying her face into it. "I just, they cared, and now I'm here and…urgh! Why are feelings so stupid!?" she growled. "Haha! Well, the next time you call them you can tell them everything you're feeling, yeah?" "Yeah…I guess…now why are you up?" "Ooof, hoped you forgot about that." Valerie sighed, laying back down on her bed, taking a moment before she spoke again. "I'm 25 today. My parents used to get the alpha's permission to take me into town and go to this little diner that served up these amazing birthday pancakes, it was our tradition. We'd always go at the crack of dawn in our pajamas and I just…it's been so long," she said wistfully.

"I mostly see boys and men give their ladies these things and call them their valentine. Why valentine?! It feels like they're coming for me!!! They can't do that!!" His mother laughed at his adorable angry face. She tapped his nose and made the six year old prince sit on her lap. "Valentine's Day is a celebration of romantic love." "What's that??" the young prince asked wide eyed. "A sacred love shared between a couple. Like those men and women you had seen."

Valerie would always make unwanted suggestions at times. "I'll volunteer and help them try to find a cure. I studied medicine, remember?" She grinned. I felt an array of hope. My hands slipped firmly to her waist, "Are you sure about helping?" "Yes," She beamed and pressed her lips against mine. This was why I liked her. Who needed Valerie when I had her? "Alpha," Ryan suddenly walked in. "I'm sorry." "What is it?" I frowned. "Alpha Kael has given his permission to find Luna Valerie in his pack," He replied, making me smirk.
