The shockwave ripped through my undead legion, annihilating them utterly, and sending the shattered remnants of the damned hurtling through the air, scattering them across the desolate expanse of the arena and back to the hell from which they were summoned.

The mutant ferals swarmed in endless waves, their shrieks deafening. Junie’s absence burned in Rio’s mind, but he had no room to think—only to kill. One mutant clamped its jaws on his arm. With a roar, Rio ripped its head clean off and hurled the corpse into two more attackers.
