“What about this? It looks like an ordinary watch.” Dominic returned the gun to the boot and set it aside. He took the watch from me, wrapped it around his fingers, and held it in front of me. The watch was beautiful—silver with pink diamonds. Unlike the boots, it wouldn’t clash with my outfits. “I still need to program this, so you won’t get it until after I finish. This isn’t an ordinary watch; this is a tracker. It will allow me to monitor your location, and if you press the center of the watch, it will send an alert to my phone. If, for some reason, we are separated, and you are in danger, you can press the button, and I will be able to find you. If the watch is ever broken, it will also

Damian kept his focus on the files in front of him, quietly reading through the reports of all that had happened during his absence. “Not so bad,” he muttered, noticing the suggestions Kylie had made. Most of them had worked out well. Then his phone buzzed, pulling him away from the page. He answered quickly. “Hey, Mum,” he said. “We have a problem, Damian,” Mrs. Blackwood’s voice said, strained. His heart sank. “What is it?”

He growled approvingly. Noor sipped cherry Coke behind the bar. “Neighborhood Watch?” she echoed. “Like a gated community?” I asked. He nodded. “All good towns have 'em. I'm head guardian of Redmont. We keep our citizens safe from things that go bump in the night.” “Huh,” I said, doodling a smiley face into the margin of my 'ledger.' “So that's why you don't see imps prancing down Main Street.” I looked at Damien. “I never thought I'd talk to a werewolf.”

While Alphas Quirin, Connor, and Henry went on the increased patrols to make sure that Alpha Warren’s underage pups stayed safe, Yorick led me to the monitors that have been set up in the packhouse to watch the pack’s borders. “If you don’t mind, Arman, we could use another set of eyes here,” he says. “Whatever you need to keep my cousin and your pup safe, Yorick,” I say. “Thanks,” he said. I can see and feel the stress pulsing off of him. “He won’t get past us and if he somehow does, he definitely won’t get to your mate, pup, or Gamma,” I say. After he explained the monitors and how to switch between them, I settled in front of the computer and called my Beta, Salar, and let him know that I

Yes I mocked him and I am going to get every revenge. "fakke girlfriend nerd, nobody would ever want to date you", Damon said. I stopped laughing and answered, "yup fake boyfriend, you need me so better be quick", I answered. He nodded and continued with the plan, "Then you can continue with your work of spying. I'll tell you whom you have to follow. Also wear this watch tomorrow, this watch is a transmitter so that we get to know whenever you are in danger. David will hear all your conversations", Damon said.

“Pathetic.” “Desperate men do stupid things. Keep your guard up.” He paused, “Also, I’m heading to your office later. Gonna install something on your laptop. Real-time visual surveillance software. The next time someone tries to breach the Black Ledger, it’ll grab their face and send it straight to me. No more guessing who the mole is.” “Perfect,” I said, drumming my fingers against the armrest. “That just leaves Wes.” “Yeah,” he muttered. “Wes.”

She simply watched the light fade. The Ledger was balanced. The Proxy was retired. The Dawn had finally, fully, arrived. Far below the surface of the earth, in the derelict, flooded ruins of a mountain in Geneva, a single, water-damaged server rack flickered with a faint, ghostly blue light. It wasn't a machine starting up, or a ghost in the wires. It was merely a residual pulse—a tiny, rhythmic heartbeat of code that would beat for a thousand years, ensuring that the world would never again forget to watch the watchers.

If someone entered the monitoring area without authorization and the system could not verify the person's identity, it would immediately mark him with a red dot and trigger the warning alarm. Julien stared at the white figure on the screen and said to Royce with some hint of disappointment, "Your grandpa sent us here to keep watch, but I can't shake the feeling that something about this doesn't feel quite right." "Why do you say that?" asked Royce curiously. "What doesn't feel right?"

“Alpha Hayes? What's going on?” “You're not going to like this news,” he said, coming forward and handing me his phone so that I could watch the video playing. “It was put out on the Paranormal Watch not long ago.” The Paranormal Watch was a ghost social media platform for all non-humans to share news and updates concerning our lives. For werewolves, it was an easy way to understand what went on in another pack even if you were miles away from them. It gave us the freedom to freely expose the part of ourselves that we had to hide from humans. It had been in existence for as long as I could remember, and although every couple of years some wannabe would try to hack into the network, the site

Using the original Tower blueprints, my team gained entry to the subterranean data vault. The air in the vault was cold and stale, thick with the silence of decades. The space was enormous, filled with rows of old, massive server racks, all running under a low, constant hum. And there, sitting at the main console, was a man I instantly recognized from the faint, archived surveillance photos: The Watchman. He was older, sharp-featured, and impeccably dressed, despite the decay surrounding him. He was a creature of absolute efficiency. "CSO Richard," The Watchman greeted me without surprise, turning from the console. His voice was smooth, devoid of emotion. "A remarkable strategic acquisition.
