Thanking him, she set her purse down and settled herself comfortably, ready to indulge in the romance novel she had brought along. Just as she opened the book and began to immerse herself in its pages, she felt a presence near her. She looked up to find a middle-aged woman. The woman wore a wide-brimmed hat and oversized sunglasses, her curiosity seemingly piqued by River's presence alone.

Justin POV The sun dipped low on the horizon, a golden glow casting over the calm waters surrounding my yacht. I leaned against the balcony railing, a glass of wine in my hand. Isabella lay stretched out on the outdoor sofa, her legs curled slightly, her hair spilling over the cushions in soft waves. A book rested in her hands, its cover sporting the title The Glass Castle. After I'd been out for about an hour, a little afraid of getting burned, I got to my feet and waded back to the beach, figuring I'd let the heat of the sun dry me off. Digging into my bag, I grabbed a bottle of water, drank half of it down, and popped open the sunscreen. Once I'd slathered up again, I dug out the erotic novel I'd been enjoying last night in bed, glad that I'd found a spot where no one else could see what I was reading. I could feel my pulse starting to race as soon as I got into it.
