~15 years ago~ A little guy at the age of 5 was busy reading a book under an old tree but still stood tall and look Almighty. His low grade cheap glasses make a silent noise whenever he turned his head to look at the next page. He reads very quietly that if one make a slightest noise around him, that noise will be transferred through his ears, like the light footstep at the back of the tree he was currently reading his psychological book in and that was heading its ways to him.

God, I hope not. "All right, I'm just going to say it. Rae, this has to stop," Mom states firmly, pressing the palms of her hands onto the table precisely. Here we go. I knew this was coming. I should have just called and said I wasn't coming, I could mute her then. "You are twenty-five years old and act like a damn nineteen-year-old. You're out partying, and-" "Having fun?" I supply, setting down my menu. That's all I'm doing. Having fun. I'm not doing drugs, I'm not knocked up by a pimp. I'm having fun, and staying out of trouble... for the most part.

I sit next to them with Minnie on my lap and give my input when they ask. "He's fit," she says and zooms in on a picture of a boy with abs. "He's your age, dm him!" Danielle argues and reaches for her phone back. "That doesn't mean he's going to let you," I laugh. "Please Marcus!" She begs and he holds the phone up above his head. Minnie starts to get excited and jumps around at all the commotion.

I follow Ben, who has already found seats for us close to the wall, and we pass the line of people muttering until we reach them. The movie has already begun. “No children under 17.” I turn to Ben. “Uhn?” “That’s what NC-17 means,” he clarifies. “Oh.” I nod. I decide to focus solely on the movie, because this is another dark, secluded spot where my imagination could run wild about my brother-in-law. The movie doesn’t make things better. The more I understand it, the more I think about Ben’s analogy of his intimate relationships with women. It’s about a wealthy family with a nineteen-year-old son in college who just hired a middle-aged, hot maid.
